OBLIVIION Teaser Mix - Rude Operator

This set was the final closing set on Monday morning at Bass Coast 2018 on Slay Bay Stage. It was recorded live off the video board and you can feel the spontaneous imperfection.  Morning sets are all about living in the moment, sharing the first rays of sunlight as they warm up the ground, and feeling a connection with everyone else there. The closing hours of the festival are gentle, quirky, and full of beauty. This mix is a lush and warm collection of my favourite sounds from various artists.  I hope you enjoy.  PS the recording was clipping so it's a little rough around the edges...but thought I'd share anyway.

Multiverse show • guestmix Algo_Riddim (Egregore Collective) (04.05.20)

𝗕𝗜𝗢
Originaire de Toulouse, et toujours sur place après une ytrentaine d'année, Algo_Riddim a été elevé sur du Claude François et Bernard Lavilliers avant d'entrer au lycée et de découvrir le rap et autres musiques urbaines. Il traine beaucoup à l'Ambassade (Club toulousain) à ses 18 ans ce qui lui permet de mettre un pied dans le UK Club music, et découvre bientôt la sound system culture, tant dub que raveparty dans les champs. Aujourd'hui il est membre de Egregore Collective. Ses mixs hyper éclectiques illustrent la largeur du spectre de la culture 'sound system'. 

"J'étais toujours été très curieux des cultures et de 'pourquoi/comment elles existent et se développent'. Depuis 7 ans je file coups de main à des teufs illégales et c'est par là que j'ai commencé à vouloir m'investir dans ce microcosme.
Je sélectionne des vinyles depuis 3/4 ans et vais surement me mettre à produire sous l'influence des copin·es"

Quelques mots sur ton guest mix ?

J'ai voulu présenter la Bass Music que j'écoute dans son ensemble : du ukg à la partie plus breaké, du uk funky au deep .
Il y a pas mal de unreleased tracks de potos / connaissances : q100, B4mba, Gflght, Duckem par exemple. A noter, 4 tracks issues de notre dernière compilation.
Le début j'ai voulu amener un boulgi boulga d'infos sur les genres bass music avec quelquechose de destructuré avec des styles dub techno, beat, ambient.
Pour ensuite, monter vers du stepper et deep dubstep en diggant des noms moins connus que d'habitude histoire de trouver de nouvelles tendances.
J'ai souhaité terminer par une touche sensible avec le travail de Oordaya que je trouve inspirant même si le RnB n'est pas dans la tranche Bass Music, c'est mon set je vais ce que je veux 🙂
