Another great addition to the Connectcast series, Becky Woodcock is originally from Manchester but now lives in Newcastle upon Tyne, where she helps run the online community and events company @musicsphere_ along with holding a residency for Ape-X and Tyne and Wear based Slack’s Radio. Becky developed her love for music through playing in all girl rock bands and orchestras, and turned to electronic music at university. She is a firm believer that the music industry should be diverse, and advocates for music to be accessible for all no matter their background. 

Becky is passionate about the underground sounds, and throws breaks, garage, jungle, electro and footwork into her sets and mixes. This weeks mix shows the quicker end of her taste, sticking to 160+ and keeping the energy up.

Kieran Helmore aka Kizzbanga, or simply HELMORE hails from Sydney, Australia by way of London, England.Raised a metalhead Kieran was the lead singer for Sydney Death Metal outfit Anno Domini, but after getting deep into the Dubstep sounds of DMZ, Deep Medi, Dub Police, Swamp 81, Night Slugs, Hessle Audio and subsequently the worlds of Grime, Techno, Jungle, Drum + Bass, UK Garage and everything that stems from these immense worlds of music he decided to immigrate to the UK to follow in the footsteps of his biggest musical inspiration - the irreplaceable Mary Anne Hobbs.With a background in radio broadcasting he has worked at Rinse FM alongside Yasmin, Ablegimmiegroove, Josey Rebelle before going through through a slew of Sales jobs and finally settling into Cyber Security to fund all of his musical adventures.HELMORE's sound is firmly rooted in UK bass culture and definitely leans on the heavier more experimental side of Bass and Techno with nods to the OGs of Dubstep while incorporating the tastiest Footwork, Jungle and Garage that he can find!Having only been producing for the last 4 months his first ever track - a collaboration with Nu Kvlture label boss Noizy Wilson - is featured on the most recent Nu Kvlture compilation VOL2."This mix is really special to me.
