East London's most forward-thinking record label is soon to release Nervous Horizon Vol. 4, the latest addition to their notorious various artists compilation series.

Known for bringing together regional club sounds from all around the world, this time label heads TSVI & Wallwork focus on dancehall influenced instrumentals but also throw fast paced percussive club works in the mix.

Nervous Horizon's core members DJ Plead, Ehua, DJ JM, SIM & Seven Orbits are all back with killer dubs and Vol. 4 also sees the introduction of some brand new signees: Montreal based Mexican producer Ultima Esuna, Bristol's rising star Josi Devil and congolese Nyege Nyege affiliate Chrisman. Techno prodigies Happa and Aquarian make their debut appearance on the label as well with compositions that blend intricate sound design with explosive low end.

Opening at 90 BPM and ending at nearly 160BPM, Nervous Horizon Vol. 4 is definitely going to be one of the most effective tools on the dance floor this season!

Coen, the elusive artist behind 2017’s highly acclaimed ‘Yellah’, returns with an 8 track mini album on Le Motel’s Maloca Records. 

Created over the last two years during the artist’s relocation from Manchester (U.K.) to London, the collection is a DJ’s gift box, built around stripped back, hard hitting beats at a range of different moods and tempos. 

Much of the music uses the artist’s own percussion collection, meticulously recorded and sampled for use on this record. From Tama’s 166bpm four-on-the-floor assault, to the wild drum solos of Pressure Roll and the Miami bass-tinged LFNT - take your pick. Or, for the real club heads, sit back and take a trip through the twists and turns of the full release.

After his debut on Artificio, Rachiid Paralyzing takes the experience to the next level in the second installment of Mega Tempo, exploring the frontiers of Maximal Dance and fusing rhythm with captivating melodic elements. The music plunges into a whirlwind of indomitable rhythms, enriched by the distinctive breakbeat style and arpeggios that evoke the infinite melancholy of the dance floor. 

Following the structure of the first volume, this second installment consists of three tracks focused on the dance floor. The first one, Digita (Silva Mix), sails on a constant bass pulse that guides us towards a bright and resonant sensation, like the dawn of a new day. On Frika (Mega Sound), the vocals intertwine with the rhythm on each rise and fall, striking an attractive yet unpredictable balance. Closing, Le Manía displays euphoric arpeggios that generate constant tension and expectation, enveloping us in his captivating magic.

DJ Polo returns to Livity Sound with an EP that moves beyond the UK funky styles he established alongside Tribal Brothers on The Link Up EP in 2021. Through his productions and steady online radio presence, the Bristol-based producer has been flying the flag for lean, punchy rhythms with a low-end focus, but on If The Glove Fits Polo has branched out to explore different tempos and sounds taking influence from gqom, techno and Afrobeats. 

Much like his approach to funky, this isn’t a set of genre exercises but more a celebration of the shared qualities which bind together dance music from different parts of the world. The result is four sharply-defined club workouts unique to DJ Polo that balance tension and release, flair and subtlety and a consistent physical weight true to Livity’s emphasis on soundsystem suitability.

Currently one of France’s fastest rising beatmaker, this daredevil drops bangers-only sets over the country as well as regular appearances on Rinse and Pinata Radio, always spiced with his hyper club edits of Ice Spice to Kraftwerk via Yussef Dayes.

Using soundscapes and noises recorded on his iPhone between his flat and music studio in Montpellier, these 5 tunes are shaped around a particular time of a contemporary club night, from punchy house to peak time breaks. This for-the-club release is Pura Pura’s debut on Global Warming Records, and an obvious connection from people who love building constant bridges between UK and France.

Kindergarten Records starts off the new year with a deep dive towards our intimate,  digital futures; courtesy of Despina - who rings in 2021 with a solo four-tracker entitled  Data Soft. Coming off their debut on our label through a split EP with Kindergarten  residents Ma Sha Ru entitled 'Polychronia' - as well as a track on Kindergarten's frst  compilation, 'Fluo I' - Despina provides a journey that leads to reconciling the ways that  the digital world has seeped into our most private aspects. From ascending sonics  to jagged juxtapositions of rhythm, texture and harshness - Data Soft is a record that delineates our current social climate succinctly with each passing kick and snare. 
 “Vitamin Party” plays off the electrolytics of the former track, lulling the listener towards  a comfortable nestle until the drop hits hard - cataclysmic and crisp percussion that  invites the listener to get cautiously cozy with an ASMR layer of metaphysical  stabilization after the catharsis is reached.
Taken as a whole, Data Soft is an attempt to reconcile the ways that the digital world  has seeped into our most private aspects. Can we be sensual and celebrate our  bodies while corporations defne us with endless data? Is true inner peace even  achievable in our strange virtual dystopia? Despina does not seek to answer these  questions, but rather to look at the slippery nature of data, sex, and the future through a sonic telescope. 

Despina (pronouns: they/them) is the pseudonym of New York based producer,  composer, and DJ Mica Matchen. Their work explores the dichotomies and  contradictions inherent in sound and life: rhythm and texture, male and female,  hedonism and mindfulness. As ferce as Mica is with their rhythms, they are just as  ferce about their politics, seeking to imbue their work with revolutionary passion,  socialist ideals, and an ear to the future. 

Kindergarten Records is a Brooklyn-based record label, rave, radio show specialising  in cosmic club workouts with wigged-out rhythmic structures.
