Founding member of music group Thievery Corporation, Rob Garza's career includes decades-worth of accolades as a pioneer of a flourishing electronic music movement. Originally hailing from Washington, DC, Garza's legacy includes the formation of ESL Music, as well as a timeless music catalog that still in rotation today. His infusion of electronic music with the international flavors of dub, trip hop, reggae, and bossa nova gave birth to an new era of sound that has attracted a cult following across the decades. Since relocating to San Francisco, Garza's new experiments take him to the far corners of the globe with sets showcasing the best of Deep House and Nu-Disco.

For Garza - who’s devoted much of his life to creating a richly-textured foundation that’s defined Thievery Corporation - solo appearances for more intimate audiences inspires new creations based off the culture and styles encountered during his travels. Whether opening for Paul McCartney with Thievery, DJing in Nepal for climbers tackling Mt. Everest, or in more obscure clubs in remote corners of the world, an impeccable taste in music style resonates through the foundation of every show.

For inspiration, Garza continues to mine the sounds he’s discovered through traveling the global dance scene. "When I first came to San Francisco, I returned to my electronic roots in the dance community while also spending a great amount of time in Mexico, where there is a great dance music scene" says Garza. "There’s so much going on in terms of people taking influences from all these different genres—like house and dub and new wave and disco—and putting it all together in a way that’s very new and original and inspiring to my own music."

His 2013 "Remixes" album presents a kaleidoscope of his past work with artists like Tycho, Gogol Bordello, Afrolicious, and Federico Aubelle and marked the start of a new chapter in his eternal music odyssey. Later in 2013, Garza teamed up with Canadian deep house producer Neighbour to release "Calle del Espirtu Santo." Inspired by the spirit of his travels in Madrid, Spain, the EP is the first in a series of releases that recount the memories only an international music explorer can tell. Expect more from Garza throughout each season with a series of originals, remixes, videos and collaborations, as well as new Thievery Corporation material in 2014.

Experiencing the Playa at night is the quintessential Burning Man experience. The untamed energy, the chaos, the sensory overload, the cacophony of sounds coming at you from all angles, all mixed with the extreme weather conditions the desert throws at you - it is pure pandemonium in the best sense of the word. It made me feel small and insignificant - in a good way. As my ego faded I more and more felt at one with my surroundings, ready to love and contribute.  As I started playing the bus pulled out of the camp. A surreal scene that reminded me of the Pied Piper unfolded - hordes of burners following the iconic heart into the open desert. But where I had anticipated the Robot Heart set to be a big "me" - moment, it felt quite like the opposite - just adding my small voice to this large and beautiful orchestra that is Burning Man. And that is how pretty much my entire first Burning Man experience went. And it's exactly this what makes it the best place in the world.

Nico Stojan‘s rise within the Berlin house scene started with a residency inside the famed walls of Bar 25.

When Bar 25 closed its doors, new ones had already begun to open, and his deep, almost pensive take on Berlin night music had him spending his weekends playing clubs such as Panoramabar, Watergate and of course, Bar 25‘s spawn, Katerholzig.

A classically trained clarinette player, Nico Stojan often surrenders its sound live, weaving it through the lusty mood of his sets – it was only natural that he evolved from DJ to producer and soon the Berlin underground were being treated to his own releases on labels such as Highgrade, Connaisseur and Upon You Records.

Collaborating with other artists has been an important role on his journey - leading to projects and remixes for the likes of Philip Bader, NU, Pele, Acid Pauli and Andri to name a few. With his European successes having taken him all over the continent, Nico‘s fate pushed him onto an international platform. Venturing to New Zealand, he has taken bookings all over the Pacific ocean whilst being the right man for the job in supporting international acts when on tour.

One of the dreamiest realists that you'll get to know, he understands that magic hides within our reach, you just have to pull it from the dust.
