       Born in 1985 as Jerrett Moore, Statement, of Southern Oregon's conscious hip-hop group Only Natural, has been playing piano since the age of three and is now producing hip-hop/reggae music. Since his junior year in high school he has been Inspired by many outside sources from groups by the name of "Living Legends", "Guru", "Eyedea & Abilities", and "Atmosphere". He was the inspired as well as by a local Southern Oregon hip-hop crew by the name of "The Oneironauts". Developed from a mixture of smooth vibes and gritty tones, Statement has a great range of different styles of music. Hello friends, 
  I began dipping my toe into DJing in the mid 90s. Dissatisfied with the endless loop of the 7-10 songs on pop radio cracking out of the speakers in the salon I was working, I decided to try and bring my own music collection to the shop. I was an avid (possibly obsessive) collector of lounge, electronic, ambient and dance type music. Im embarrassed to say what I must have spent in those days at Oak Lawn Records, Tower, and Virgin - may they all rest in peace - but it also began time to get some equipment. I purchased some equipment, albeit simple rudimentary gear at my local guitar center and began making compilations at first, and mixes as I progressed and developed more of a skill and ear for it.
 Today I enjoy playing different types of sets and venues. I typically do a monthly show at one of the more underground-friendly spots in Dallas where i can play out some dance melting bangers, as well as more lounge and downtempo sets for hotel lobbies, art galleries and the like.

mixes are time capsules of sound. each capturing a moment in time that will not be repeated the same way. each mix is meant to transport the listener in their own time machine to their own destination. these are soundtracks for daily living..."music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything"
