Already an accomplished composer and producer, crafting music and soundscapes for film and television, Gensi AKA András Genser deploys a trio of smooth and inspiriting cuts on the ‘Primavera 707’ EP.  The title track gets the remix rub from British brothers Decius.

‘Primavera 707’ is tinged with a gloss and sheen, and a pop edge, that stays on the right side of classy.  Heavenly melodies skit around an effervescent vocal, as Gensi distributes bubbly acid lines and expansive synths that elegantly crescendo.

Decius stamp their rugged sound onto the remix of ‘Primavera 707’, having impressed via releases on their own Decius Trax imprint.  Chugging drums and bags of mechanical funk are plugged into this re-rub, as the vocal gets pulverized, and a dark & sleazy tone is forged.

Further explorations into acid are mined on ‘Humble Brush’, as the wiggly worm forages around energizing chords and weighty drums, whilst ‘The Great Body Buzz’ glides across the cosmos with booming 808 beats and intergalactic electronics.

Aterral welcomes Nephews to the fold. On the label's eighth release, this Berlin-Beirut joint venture lays down two original tunes that open up a spectrum of striking stylistic variety. Opener "Alternate" builds its chord-driven splendour on an utmost sophisticated take on Electro, while "Oasis" displays them at their best crafting sample-laden soulful Housemusic, glowing with deepness and positivity. There were all sorts of shimmering shapes and colours floating atop the water as he watched perched upon a boat heading down stream. They moved softly on the rolling waves as they travelled through the old town - onlookers gazed out upon the spectacle, they say nestled amidst the reeds on the shore. For some of them it would be the first time that they had ever seen a parade or procession as grand and fantastic as this - the wild colours were electric and ethereal aboard the floating ships. It were as if they'd touched down from outer space. 

Because of Art is a producer who is receiving wide acclaim and support from some of the biggest and best dj's out there. With releases on the likes of Skream and Sasha's labels thus far, now he sets up shop on Anja Schneider's Sous Music with a track called 'Ethereal'.

Exclusive: Al Bradley - Invisible Beings In Space

We're Going Deep is taking the Acid-route with their fifth installment and provides us with four tracks that seize the genre-typical bleeps in the one way or the other and ensure mental dancefloor moments. The B2 and EP's final or closing track comes from British artist Al Bradley, who contributes his track Invisible Beings In Space to the various artist EP, which also includes music from Tim Jackiw, Böhm and Biz. Al's track though is a dignified closer, starting off with a breathy bass line adding a certain rawness and an unfinished note to the track right away, the typical Acid-bleeps find their way into as the volume of them varies from low to high. The track title's mentioned spacey feel is created through pads and following pad-sequences that add a deep cosmic vibe to Invisible Beings In Space that basically calls for lost-in-space moments on the dancefloor.

Maybe his new EP on STEP Recordings sums up what this artist is about: Working Overtime! Subwax-owner, producer, DJ and constantly having his fingers on the pulse of time, Baldo’s life is what one would call busy. However, the Barcelona-based artist finds time to compose quality music that’s released on labels such as Gerd Janson’s Running Back or Let’s Play House, just to name two. As this week saw the release of Baldo’s track Human Connection landing on Running Back’s EP One Swallow Doesn’t Make A Summer Pt. 4, his Working Overtime EP will land on Catz ’n Dogz STEP Recordings at the end of next week and includes three original tracks and a remix from Youandewan for the A1, Spatial Delivery. The original version of the latter ultimately features what a good club track needs or rather what marks it, in Baldo’s case it’s a deep, almost late-night-touch with a dose of Breaks, Acid and Trance that turn Spatial Delivery to a catchy and intriguing affair that can either be the start of something beautiful or the emotional peak of a set, when everybody loses oneself to dance. With Spatial Delivery Baldo’s overtime working paid off as he delivers a take that’s sexy enough to satisfy underground needs with the power of favored synth lines. Chapeau!

Co-label founder N-Gynn is up next on the vinyl-only label Superlux Records and delivers four bass-heavy cuts that come in as smooth and energetic as possible and therefore are summed up under the suitable EP title The Heavens. For the A1, Renaissance, everything mentioned before applies: a powerful bass line features filtered claps, pads with a darker twist and note as well as hints of a wobbling bass and an Acid-line. The last detail is the implementation of spoken words in the track's middle-part adding another facet to it and emphasizing its darker tone.

Heavy House Society drops a high end collaboration between two heavyweights, Sidney Charles and Archie Hamilton for a standout two-tracker. On the Reset EP, they both deliver a pair of refined, groove-driven cuts that showcase the depth of their shared house and minimal house sensibilities.

'Reset' is built on a tight, swinging groove that fuses chunky basslines with crisp, shuffling percussion. Subtle chord stabs and atmospheric flourishes, inject depth and tension, while the stripped framework leaves space for momentum to build. Slick and modern, it's a hypnotic rollercoaster crafted with underground dancefloors in mind.

On the flip, 'The Future Is Now' keeps things locked to the floor with a punchy low-end foundation and rolling percussion. Carefully sculpted hi-hats and subtle vocal chops add texture, while atmospheric layers push it toward a futuristic edge.
