Opulence label owner Cali Lanauze brings his dynamic sound to Francesca Lombardo’s Echoe label with a debut release ​There’s Another Life After You EP​ featuring six impressive tracks of varied styles. “On my first release for Echoe I wanted to demonstrate why people call me the ''chameleon” and on the EP you can find sounds ranging from downtempo-electronica to heavy melodic club tunes. Each tune tells its own story.” ​Cali Lanauze 

A shimmering synth opens ​Could See You Everyday​, delicate percussive work combines to produce an icy piece. ​Take Me Out ft. Gabriel Luque & Frankuchi ​moves the atmosphere to one of hypnotism, smoky tribalistic whispers float on a weighty low-end. On ​DNLA ​the tempo is reduced, but the intensity remains, powerful sub-bass ebbs and flows as the beat is manipulated. ​Callejon de las Flores ​forms an energetic groove as contrasting synths ride upon it. With a brooding undercurrent, ​Martires ​begins with spacey electronics, a more playful melody is introduced but it retains an edge of deep emotion. ​Amburges f​inally​ ​ignites feelings of warmth as fizzing keys reverberate around the bass line. Born in Puerto Rico, Cali Lanauze started making music at the age of 15. Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Radio Slave and Davide Squillace all picked up on his tunes from the outset. Promoting events he grew his name, sharing the decks with Dixon, Art Department, Guy Gerber, Damian Lazarus, Lee Burridge and DJ Tennis. He has released on Flying Circus, My Favorite Robot and Sleep is Commercial. More recently, Cali has collaborated with artists such as Andrew Grant, Kiki and Roland Appel. DJing around the world he has played at Flash Washington DC, Output NYC, Pattern Bar LA, Pacha Barcelona and Hardpop Mexico. In 2017 he launched his label Opulence, releasing music from Roman Flugel, Ryan Crosson, Dan Ghenacia, Martin Buttrich and more. 2019 sees the renaissance of Cali and his new movement.
