The 6th chapter of Summer Sol is here, and its time to sun bathe, sun gaze, and shower yourself with light. We present to you 28 stories of sunshine, to warm your heart, and move your body into a state of happiness.

This season we have our most internationally diverse line up to date, with artists from 21 countries: Mexico, USA, Spain, Mali, Turkey, Colombia, France, Argentina, Bulgaria, Italy, Germany, Morocco, Ukraine, Chile, Netherlands, UAE, Switzerland, Belgium, Hungary, Armenia, and Australia.

We welcome several new artists to the label like Dj Chus, Balam, La Payara, The Scumfrog, KÖNI, and Depart, to name a few. And we also have many seasoned Sol veterans like Sabo, Dandara, Amine K, Giovanny Aparacio, Mula, Amentia, and Chambord.

The music drifts from coast to coast, across several mountain ranges, deserts dunes, and salty oceans, spanning years of generational influences. The tempos, melodies, and rhythmic combinations take us from chill out, to groove, to tribal, to afro, to deep. We hope this music inspires, and carries you on a world wide tour.

The artwork by Helia Jamali takes us to a parallel dimension lit by the frequencies and energy of the SOL.

Premiere: Guy Laliberté - Histasie ft. The Frog Collective (Soul Of Zoo Remix) [Frooogs Records]

Hyenah and Deep Aztec join forces for ‘Together’ on Bedouin’s Human By Default this November, featuring a remix from Stavroz. Head of the RISE parties at Watergate in Berlin and affiliate of Freerange, Objektivity, Sondela, and beyond, the mysterious Hyenah teams up with South African artist and Get Physical graduate Deep Aztec for ‘Together’ on Bedouin’s sublime Human By Default imprint. Backed with a remix from Belgian group Stavroz, the release is a triumphant display of deep, melodic house music from a host of exciting names in the modern circuit. Leading the release, title track ‘Together’ marries shuffling percussion, deft pads, and lush vocals for a rousing opener, while Stavroz’s remix delivers additional textures and sharp synth work to the mixture. Following on, ‘Zabuya’ sees rich chords, bright leads, and catchy hooks before the Dub mix closes out the release, stripping away the vocal performance for a welcomed instrumental cut. Hyenah feat. Deep Aztec ‘Together’ drops 26th November on Human By Default.

Surely one of the biggest underground tracks of the summer in Ibiza and beyond, ‘Don't Forget To Go Home' by Emanuel Satie gets  some remix treatment. The first part includes the Original Dub Version by Emanuel himself, a re-edit from Rebirth’s boss Shield and a remix from Black Loops.

A former Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune on BBC Radio 1, and supported by names as diverse as  Sven Väth, Kolsch, Luciano, Dj Koze, Lee Burridge, Guy Gerber, Claptone, François Kevorkian, and even Tïesto….'Don't Forget To Go Home' is a future classic, mixing jazz with deep house ! 
The track is a collaboration with the internationally renowned drumming virtuoso, percussionist, composer Billy Cobham and Nicolosi Production. The Jazz fusion pioneer has dedicated his whole life to musical exploration and creative expression,  working with artists like Miles Davis, Horace Silver and George Benson. 
The label boss Shield loved the track so much and decided to give the track his personal touch. The edit features a new afro rhythm pattern played by Carlos Santana’s percussionist Idrissa Diop, psychedelic effects created with the EMS Synthi Aks and an additional rhodes part. The result is fantastic. Emanuel delivers an exceptional stripped out dubby version, a bass-rolling peak-time house number for the dancefloor, while Black Loops, the italian house duo based in Berlin, strip the musical theme back for a deeper version with a funky disco vibe.
