Stephan Hinz has created three collaborative tracks that cover all areas of the techno spectrum and one track is of course with the label bosses, Pan-Pot. We've got the premiere of 'Tension' and take note of the title because the track is brimming with it.

The cut kicks off with thumping kicks and groove-inducing claps before it begins its incline to full-throttle wall-shaker. The drops are punishing and the builds are tantalising. Trust us, this one goes hard. Check it.

Following on from the debut release on Jamie Jones & Lee Foss’ new imprint, New Yorker Serge Devant makes his first appearance on Crosstown Rebels offshoot Rebellion with talented duo Audiofly on remix duty.

Setting the tone of the release, ‘The Way You Move’ is deep and dark at the roots with haunting vocals and an otherworldly aura. Audiofly deliver a solid remix, keeping it deep with rolling percussion and hypnotic energy.

o+ Serge Devant perfected his craft at legendary nightclubs such as Tunnel, Limelight and Crobar in New York from the late 90s. In 2008 he signed a deal with Ultra Records and released two albums. After releasing the first album in 2009, Serge began touring the world and forging a name for himself across the globe. After taking some time away from making music due to a serious back injury, he had the chance to rethink his musical direction. His latest release on Jamie Jones and Lee Foss’ new label Emerald City followed by this outstanding release on Rebellion proves that Serge Devant is back and stronger than ever.

o+o Luca Saporito and Anthony Middleton aka Audiofly are one of the leading musical partnerships on the scene. Their releases can be found on the likes of Get Physical, VIVa Music, Desolat and their own Supernature. They also run a successful series of events called Flying Circus that they take worldwide.

Premiere: Serge Devant - The Way You Move (Audiofly Remix)(Rebellion)

Ukrainian artist iO is the next to make his mark on One Records with ‘Mir’, including two intricate and sophisticated, rolling dance floor tracks of the highest quality. On remix duty, the profoundly talented Cab Drivers showcase their unique production style, as they too are warmly welcomed to the label. 

Part of the game for a number of years now, iO’s successful releases can be found on imprints such as Rejected, Leftroom, Highway Records and his own Mulen Records which he started in 2012 and released his stunning debut album with in 2013. Aside from his skills in the studio, iO’s talents as a DJ also see him play regularly at the likes of Arma17 (Moscow), Studio 80 (Amsterdam) and Boom Boom Room (Kiev), also appearing at events such as ADE, WMC, Exit and Kazantip. 

Hugely respected Berlin residents Cab Drivers aka ZKY & Daniel Paul are well known for their distinctive productions and live showcases. Their well established record label Cabinet Records holds an extensive catalogue of quality music and places them even further within the real elite of electronic music.

Time Has Changed is a tech-house label that operates out of France. Their raison d'etre is house music on a grandiose and dancefloor-inclined scale, and their latest release is a case in point from that regard. Always ones to champion new talent, it arrives on our desks thanks to the inimitable works of the Cosmic Cowboys, an Italian pair who’ve previously released on Time Has Changed and also boast credits for the likes of Superfiction and Bedrock. 

It all gets under way courtesy of title track, ‘’Perseus’’. As dramatic a track as you’re likely to stumble over this side of 2015, it’s full of elongated plays and raw, dramatic sweeping synths of the sort that you can’t help but be bowled over by. If you’re out this weekend to leave your audience in raptures, then this one should do very nicely indeed. In a just world, it’ll have dancefloors trembling in Europe and beyond this summer. 

Betoko’s remix isn’t bad either. The sometime Diynamic man has made a career out of such sprightly tech-house gems, and he reminds us of his talents thanks to a remix that loses much of the original’s full-on vibes but cleverly replaces them with a more supple and subtle re-working.

November sees Matt Tolfrey's Leftroom celebrate ’10 Years of Leftroom’ - a selection of exclusive tracks, remixes and collaborations from the label family.

A defining factor in the careers of artists like Laura Jones, Subb-an, Audiojack, Jasper James and Kate Simko as well a home from home for established acts like DJ Bone, Jay Haze and Steve Lawler, Leftroom is undoubtedly one of the UK’s most influential house/techno imprints. Always pushing forward, adapting and influencing movements within electronic music, Leftroom and it’s label boss Tolfrey count an enormous amount of DJs, clubs and punters as fans, evident when glancing over tour dates or glowing promo reaction sheets.

The ten tracks of ’10 Years of Leftroom’ neatly encapsulate what the label is and has been about - underground music that reflects the discerning taste of its curator. There’s new material from label boss Matt Tolfrey, who collaborates with Route 94, Guti and Hearthrob, there are updates on career defining cuts from Audiojack and Kate Simko plus heavyweight remixes from Chez Damier, Optimo and Mr. Fingers. 

Accompanying the 10 tracks will be a mix from Tolfrey himself and a 10 Years of Leftroom tour, having already checked in at a handful of festivals and overseas club shows, goes into full swing in the Autumn.

The ’10 Years of Leftroom’ compilation is out November 2015.

The sunrise on Sunday morning after The Burn was perhaps the coldest I'd experienced at Burning Man.   By the time I went on at 7am only the slightest hint of the sun's warmth began to grace us, but the effect was immediate.  My instincts steered me into an uplifting, psychedelic house sound and the vibe was as loose and festive as one could imagine.  Playing out there in Deep Playa on the Robot Heart bus never fails to be one of the most unique DJ experiences I've known.

This year in anticipation of the 2nd Annual DH & Friends Holiday Spectacular (info below) I’ve decided to give out some presents.  I’m calling it the 12 days of remixes and I’ll be sharing all of the un-released remixes and edits I’ve made and have been playing in my DJ sets over the last couple years. Senso boss Oliver Huntemann first released the original version of Magnet in 2011 as a part of his Paranoia LP on Ideal Audio. A few years later, Brazil’s leading underground techno light Victor Ruiz reworked the track into an unofficial bootleg, which since had been rinsed by Ruiz, Huntemann and a slew of top DJs around the world. Such was its effect on the dance-floor, it’s now finally receiving an official release via Senso in a slightly updated version. The track itself is a lesson in tough, driving techno - unrelenting in its mission, yet infused with layers of subtlety and deeply funky beeps, squelches and effects. It’s a machine-funk monster, and it’s easy to see why the bootleg clocked up over 225,000 listens on Soundcloud.
