Rich Vom Dorf, a strange foreign artist name, isnt it? But its meaning is easily explained when you know that the guy behind the project is called Richard and "vom Dorf" means "from the village" in german language.

Born in the eighties on the countryside he discovered electronic music in the early nineties and what had begun as a passion led into a full time job as dj, promoter, producer and owner of the label "tächno". The style of his productions and sets varys from deep emotional melodic progressive house, happy techhouse and even indie dance. This maybe is a wide range of sound but all this music has one thing in common - its made to please your heart.

2020 was a crazy year but it has been an amazing one for Rich cause two of his tracks reached number one in the traxsurce progressive house Top-100 and he had countless other chart positions with his music. You really should keep an eye on this guy.

The German Naeiiv is the one who provided the 25th EP of the label. He created two rhythmical and moreover fresh tracks, which are very interesting and renewing. The title track of the EP is called 'Vault' and the second track, 'Voue', got a sensational breakbeat remix by another German talent, called Vintash.

'Vault' is truly one of a kind. A 'perfect chaos' could be seen as the theme of the track. It starts off with a firm kick and some unexpected drums, which are complemented by other impressive individual elements. During the track a harsh synth is emerging, but gets broken down by peaceful breaks. This combination creates a suitable contrast. After the second break a sophisticated constructed climax got reached, bringing you into ecstasy.

'Voue' is the more melodic one of the two originals, but also here Naeiiv managed to implement interesting and unexpected drums and percussion. A constant flow of pads is directing you through the track, accompanied by lovely chords. At some points even more compelling synths are taking over. This all together contributes to two hopeful and remarkable peaks.

Vintash took some of the drum elements, as well as some chord and melodic elements, and used them in a completely different way. The breakbeat-way. This remix is a sensational journey with fierce, but superbly timed, drums and percussion all over the place. Also forming a perfect chaos. The middle part brings back the vibe of the original and afterwards a break to cool down comes in. In the final part an ongoing increase makes sure this remix will be an unforgettable audial experience and forms a great end to this fresh and memorable EP.

If you have ever played some keys and chords on an organ, you know it has an unbelievable rich and warm sound and a power that can easily fill a whole song. With that idea in mind we started Organ. It took us quite a while to find the right sound and still added a good amount of color, drive and lots and lots of LFO modulation until we were satisfied. We simply had to make sure it goes into your ear and from there directly under your skin. Needless to say, we even split the organ into different voices with different variations. Finishing the song probably took us half a dozen versions and a lot blood, sweat and tears. But our emotional rollercoaster finally paid off and is now captured inside the song.

Ferrari - Jungle Boogie EP

Earlier this year we were happy to release Ferrari’s first ever track on AEON; a crafty remix of Alex Niggemann’s ‘Rise of the Machines’. Towards the end of November, the Italian producer’s ‘Jungle Boogie’ EP will brighten up the darker months of the year. Ferrari wrote the record during Italy’s strict lockdown evenings and first days of easing the restrictive measures, which created a sound of both frenzy and relieve.
The record’s title track creates expectations, which it meets, but not in the exact way you expected it. ‘Jungle Boogie’ starts with native percussion rhythms, but swiftly evolves into a fever dream with altered bird sounds that create an extraterrestrial impression. While female vocals are trying to get to you, you get lost more and more in the acid jungle Ferrari created. While the animals celebrate the temporary absence of mankind. 
‘Trancektor’ immediately spirals down towards even deeper parts of your unconscious. This time, however, the world you find yourself in feels more like an 80s arcade game. Circling, Italo disco-inspired synths swirl around you as the spatial sounding beat runs on.
The third track on the EP, ‘Tellurico’, is an uplifting tune with forceful keys that push you forward. The choir hypnotises this song’s listeners all the way to the end. 
The closing track of the ‘Jungle Boogie’ EP brings you into calmer waters, allowing you to recover a bit from your little journey. However, ‘Freakin’’ intensifies as it goes forward elevating you one last time.
AEON invited Whitesquare - well known from his releases on Dj Tennis infamous „Life & Death“ - to rework ‘Jungle Boogie’s title track. He silenced the birds, but the trippiness of the track stays, while some new tropical animals enter the stage.
This storytelling EP of five tracks shows some excellent curatorship of the Berlin-based label.

Boran Ece was born in the same decade as house music. However, Boran’s story is not a commercially driven one about a young artist who experimented with musical instruments from an early age. It is also not about a young raver who spent his summer holidays on Ibiza, and later made it onto the most famous stages of the world. The essence of his life story is not just linked to events – it is an emerging legacy of the history of art. Boran finds inspiration throughout the depths of the electronic music world and is able to share his art in the furthest corners of the globe like Amsterdam, Berlin and Istanbul, and on labels like Lemon Juice Records. ‘Relance’ now sees him launch his Son d’Étroit imprint as a platform for his original material which includes a remix from Berlin-based engineer Hannes Bieger who has releases on Tronic, Poker Flat, Bedrock and Fryhide.

Homemade sound waves: this is what the first release of the new label Son d'Étroit sounds like. The label founder, Boran Ece made the inaugural release a matter close to his heart and shows his performance side with this track. ‘Relance’ is a skillfully created chaos has arisen that presents and unites precisely chosen elements. Soulful, pure, minimal with an organic deep house touch that’s food for the dancers. Hannes Bieger’s version is an alluring cut with dubbed-out textures, pulsating bass rolls and inviting melodies that harmonise delightfully with the softening vocals throughout.

Modus Operandi, an EP by Impérieux, is the latest release from Sum Over Histories, the label from Frankey & Sandrino that champions introspective sounds for reflective times.

There’s an air of mystery surrounding Impérieux. The Bulgarian-born artist prefers to avoid the spotlight and work diligently on music instead, building a sound influenced by the underground scene in Sofia and his Turkish roots.

Impérieux began production of Modus Operandi in Bulgaria, and continued throughout his move to Berlin last year. The artist says it was a melancholic time; dealing with culture shock and a new language was challenging even without a pandemic. This EP is a reflection of that. Dark and brooding, simplistic and surreal, Impérieux took inspiration from the fantasy worlds of novelist Murukami and named the tracks after his work.

Opening track “Mondband” is a pensive house production with scattered percussion and dream-like melodies. This track is no ode to the dance floor but a tribute to the bedroom, to those moments we’ve experienced too often this year - the ones with only ourselves to turn to. “Terra Incognito”, however, with its scintillating hi-hats, glitchy synths and resonant brass feels full of optimism and urgency. It’s here the full spectrum of Impérieux’s talent comes to the fore - the producer understands how to draw emotion from the listener, when to add elements and when to take them away, to create a transformative aural experience.

Impérieux’s influence and biography shines through in title track “Modus Operandi.” It’s both a nod to the artists’ Turkish heritage as well as a love affair with analogue house, a celebration of the genre’s ability to connect continents and cross borders.

With tracks as versatile and genre-bending as this, there’s no doubt Modus Operandi will reveal Impérieux to be a formidable producer. But it still took some convincing: “Sandrino already had the tracks and wanted to release them,” Impérieux says. "He even encouraged me to release them even if not with him. I was very sceptical about releasing them but he made me change my mind and here we are.”

Sandrino says: “As soon as I heard these tracks I knew they had to be shared. The way Impérieux translates his experiences and emotions through music is second to none. He’s a phenomenal talent and we’re delighted we were able to encourage him to share this EP with the world!”

Frankey says: “Our goal with Sum Over Histories is to champion new and emerging talent from all over the world. Impérieux’s eclectic background and emotive style is precisely the kind of musical experience we want to share with our community.”

The 100th podcast, WOW!!! First, we really want to say massive THANKS to all our followers and who listen to our podcasts. We would not have done all of it without you! For this occasion, we have special guest and for us it's an honour to have him on board! 
Please welcome Marijus Adomaitis who is Lithuanian music producer, music author and DJ. He mainly creates electronica, experimental, house, disco. Marijus is working on his projects: Ten Walls, Mario Basanov and newly born Hindemit.
As a Ten Walls he released his debut EP "Gotham" back in May 2013 through “Innervisions”. It was followed by "Requiem" in December of the same year through Italian electronic music label “Life And Death”. In September 2014 Marijus smashed the release of "Walking with Elephants" which made to the tops of UK Singles Chart. Following year in 2015 he released a single named "Sparta". In 2016 Marijus created a company named “Runemark” and released another big hit “Italo”. Ten Walls worked on multiple projects, remixes, collaborations etc. Year 2017 – Ten Walls released a double album “Queen”. In 2020 Marijus released an album “Lights For The Dreams” for his Ten Walls project. Ten Walls recently at the end of 2020 released an EP “U Turn” through the label “Click Records”. 
Marijus’ dream came true. Ten Walls made a collaboration with Lithuanian Symphony Orchestra. The project named “Symphony” gathered his fans across Lithuania to hear his own music performed by the orchestra. There will be more surprises regarding this project very soon.
One of the most interesting experiences that Marijus had during the pandemic was to create music for the videogame Moonray. Ten Walls has lots of news for his fans. Spending all his time into the studio turned out his productivity into many upcoming tracks and collaborations. Stay tuned and enjoy the 100th podcast from Ten Walls.
