Joshua Gutiérrez, better known as Slurm, finishing his studies in San José, Costa Rica, frequently visited the Vertigo Club and it was here where he decided to dedicate himself to House Techno Music, returning to his native Guayaquil. In one of these is where he was invited to be part of Lost Beach Club. Since the beginning, he was part of its team and staying as a resident only for the firsts 7 years, warming the track to countless DJs like Jamie Jones, Tale Of Us, Steve Bug, Layo & Bushwacka!, Damian Lazarus, Patrick Topping, Mr C., Oxia, Audiojack, Tiefschwarz, Francesca Lombardo, DJ Tennis, Wolf + Lamb, among others. All this while he was doing sporadic events in the city and organizing his festival Nature Beats once a year, which has the best Ecuador’s exponents and goes for the 10th edition.

In 2013, After his production studies in Argentina, he created his record labeled as "Savia Park", which now has more than 30 EPs, which include the best producers in Ecuador and a selection of artists from Latin America, seeking musical integration in the continent and musical connection, having the vision that from this side of the world good things can be achieved. In 2016 he moved to Quito, where for 1 and a half years he lives, and lives in the now closed BPM Club, where he had the opportunity to open to artists such as Claptone, Audiofly, Luca Bacchetti, Technasia, Pirupa, wAFF, among others. BPM Club helped him to bring his sound to his new city, where he soon changes his page in mid-2018 and joins the Bassick Club team, with a new residence there.

He is a man involved by music, in his mixes we can feel all his selections intensely, which leaves many people marked, dancing in a club, in festivals, in the dawn or in the evening. Slurm has a compilation of everything within the line of House and even the most groovy techno which, together, go through a variety of emotions, fresh and dynamic sound, being always updated with the latest releases and promotional hits.

His sessions led him to present himself to various countries and clubs, such as La Buat Panama, Baum Colombia, D-Edge Brazil, Bizarro Peru, Monarch SFO USA, among other points, such as Seattle (USA), El Salvador, Nicaragua, Bolivia, Guatemala, Honduras, Paraguay and also be part of the BPM Festival in 2017 in Mexico, Ocaso Festival in Costa Rica 2018, 2019, 2020,  Full Moon Nicaragua and Electronic Art Festival in Barranquilla.

He currently lives in Quito, half of the world, releasing music in Savia Park, playing in all parts of Ecuador, and with future presentations throughout the continent.

We are happy to be able to announce our 4th anniversary mix with a great guest, one of the country's longest-running artists and owner of the legendary Savia Park label. Slurm joins the platform with an eclectic, fresh and powerful mix, he has made a podcast of almost an hour and a half in which he exposes the best of his techno repertoire. This dj set has been made especially for our listeners for this special occasion.

“Saint Is” release triumphant second EP on Sum Over Histories
Saint Is, the project of Santiago Garcia and Santiago Franch, present their second EP Before We Get Old on Sum Over Histories, the label of Frankey & Sandrino.
With their Saint Is project, the Argentinian duo harnesses their love for live performance, dreamy synths, emotive hooks and storytelling. The duo’s second release on Sum Over Histories plays with the concepts of time and youth, passion and loss, using ethereal vocals from Juan Hansen to seamlessly connect concepts and genres. With the title track, Saint Is create a yearning indie-dance anthem that feels just as appropriate closing a sold-out stadium set as it would watching a beach-side sunset. “Art Image”, meanwhile, combines siren-like synths with industrial overlays to build a narrative around impermanence, balance and urgency.
Berlin-based melodic-house producer Aera remixes “Dancing in the Rain” feat. Sergi Yaro, and sprinkles his unique, quirky and instantly-identifiable production fairy-dust over the chugging, indie house track. Dixon is a fan of the tune and has played out the remix numerous times since its release.
With the rest of the EP, Saint Is occupy a thoughtful space; a space for reflection, introspection and deep listening. It’s a change of pace for the artists, but it is this disparity that brings a sense of wisdom to Before We Get Old. The duo explores their creative depths both on and off the dance floor which makes the act of listening to this EP feel like a relief; a welcome step back from the mania of the world outside.
Sandrino, one half of Frankey & Sandrino, says: “Sum Over Histories make the perfect match for Saint Is. With Before We Get Old, the duo harnesses their collective synergy, creating a selection of tracks best listened to with your eyes closed.”
