Afterlife & Diynamic mainstay and one of 2021’s most exciting artists, Innellea, delivers a truly monumental remix of fellow German electronic producer Parra for Cuva and his latest single 'Her Entrance', taken from his forthcoming Juno LP, set for July this year.

Parra for Cuva’s new album Juno contains sounds from around the world yet it was almost entirely produced within the four walls of the artist’s studio in Berlin. That’s the beauty of the 21st century though, one barely has to leave a room to travel far and wide and be inspired by distant places and peoples. Juno takes this global exploration even further with the influence of seven musicians and their different instruments.

As expected, Innellea serves up exciting, forwarding thinking sonics; working the rising melody lines and Indian flute samples of the original around fizzling electronic-edged beats and a pulsating driven atmosphere of power that he brings to all his productions!

Innellea dims the warmth by adding hardcore techno and accelerated beats to the single. "My interpretation of "Her Entrance" was shaped by the desire for extensive and intense club nights. Therefore I decided to adapt the mysterious mood of the original track and to add dynamic hi-hats and driving basslines to create a dancefloor-oriented interpretation," says the producer.

Summer is approaching and with it the beautiful sunny days and the seventh episode on REBA.
Once is not customary, it is composed this time of 2 tracks build around the very aerial way of Ivan Theva and a remix all in energies from Fur Coat.

The meeting between this singer from Brooklyn and me takes place during the first part of this so particular period. Normally not very attracted by vocal on electronic music, when I received the first vocal stems of Ivan, I literally fell under the spell. Used as a real instrument, his voice comes to complete the very soaring universe that I hold dear.

"Gardens", the first track of the Ep is very solar, it calls the beautiful days while "The Rain" reveals another color of the so complete way of Ivan's voice and brings us in the darker part of the summer with the stormy periods.

Fur Coat answered present and delivers us a very effective club version of the second title of the EP. A milimetered drum patern and a deep bass, immersive signature of this artist that we no longer need to present.

As usual, a lot of love and a bit of grass went into the making of this EP.

To close the year 2021, Oddity presents the long awaited various artists, Odd Echoes vol. 5, loaded with hypnotic melodic cuts from new and returning artists.

The V.A, showcases the label's cohesive, yet diverse and evolving melodic sound, with a number of artists brought together to create this magical journey.

Opening the V.A label boss Fur Coat delivers a new collaboration with Alfa Romero, introducing us to the construction of the deepest, most ethereal and melodic sounds, where artists like Adamant, Baime, aacht, Esoteric Circle and Andrea Martini show a coherent crescendo in the timeline of the compilation.

Continuing the story, we can see new names joining the record label like Casper Cole, Rinzen, Jos & Eli, delivering some diverse melancholic yet euphoric cuts.

Digging further into the compilation, sounds like those of the collaboration of Jonas Saalbach and Tantum, or the originals by Remcord, Lexer, SOEL, 19:26, Beswerda, Sascha Breamer bring a touch of darkness that transport us to another dimension in sound.

Last but not least, Aalson, The Element MT, Daijan ft. Running Pine, Black Peters and Jody Barr, present some closing-oriented emotional cuts, with some of them including some breaks or experimenting with some unique synths and textures, to ensure the perfect closure to this story we call Odd Echoes.

Fur Coat, Alfa Romero - Inherited Earth (Original Mix)

While Stephan Bodzin's Beatport No.1 album 'Boavista' still reverberates around the world, the techno mainstay has now collected 25 of the scene's most interesting artists to add their own remixes. The likes of Solomun, Dubfire, Mind Against, Roman Flugel, Agents of Time, Anna, Wehbba, Hernan Cataneo & Soundexile and many more all make this a richly diverse affair.

This is a collection packed with gems from the off: Diynamic label boss Solomun opens up with his lively melodic take on Rose featuring cosmic synths and neon pads, his label mates Adriatique then go deep with their take on River and Italian duo Mind Against layer up the astral synths to epic effect with their Earth remix.

Jupiter Jazz aka Maceo Plex & AVNU then link for a remix of Theory Of Everything that is filled with swirling synth colours and German maestro Roman Flugel flips Earth into a cinematic track with pensive pads and digitalised leads. There is also classy progressive house from Patrice Baumel, widescreen techno from ANNA and hard, acid tinged techno from Reinier Zonneveld as well as suppler rolling rhythms from Dubfire with many other standout remixes in between.

Boavista Remixes is an essential album packed with plenty of fresh perspectives from across the house and techno spectrum.

Stephan Bodzin - River (Adriatique Remix) Vs Stephan Bodzin - Earth (Mind Against Remix)

With 'Hunger' we welcome back New York's finest and label resident Allies for Everyone and Rafael Cerato. Allies & Rafael, who don't need any introduction, treat us with a brand-new track that oozes class and sophistication. 'Hunger' features rich driving textures; as well as euphoric and moody deep house vibes to satisfy ambient, uplifting and feel-good needs, which are the keywords for this beautiful and extraordinary release.

Allies for Everyone & Rafael open proceedings with their smashing original mix. The duo's maturity and musical development is in full swing, as they kick off with a deep, hypnotic beat which is interspersed with subtle effective percussion a profound floaty grooves and indie influences, turning this one into an underground anthem with a very soul tangling appeal. The hypnotizing groove combined with Allies' smooth vocal work gradually ease their way to the breakdown before all elements combine to be unleashed into a rising melodic hook, intertwined with the infectious groove that fades in and out for maximum effect.

Indian maestro Browncoat's interpretation opens proceedings on the remix front; he hits all the right chords from the word go. Known for his distinct and quality driven production style, Browncoat's deep entry is intermixing with glowing drive, filtered stabs and stunning groove which beautifully leads into a drop full of tension and excitement, with the understated yet driving bassline powering the groove along. He manages to keep the energy up, while allowing the driving melodic house feel to shine thru over the many layers and textures to create a beautiful soundscape to round off this classy underground crowd pleaser. Essential stuff!

The second remix comes from label debutant Th3 Oth3r. The Spanish' producers sound is a tough thing to pin down. He is such a unique act in the sense that his emotional creations carry quite a large scope. Th3 Oth3r is not afraid to explore esoteric or introspective themes and the end result is always a compelling one. Such is the case with his remix of 'Hunger', which carries many of his most loved production hallmarks. From a warm, meaty low end to icy atmospherics and an effects storyboard to get lost in, there is certainly a lot to love. The main break being the high point, with the mood shifting from emotive to ominous with an effortless ease. It's something you rarely see and he pulled off beautifully here.

Allies for Everyone & Rafael Cerato's return to ICONYC, with two amazing remixes from Browncoat & Th3 Oth3r, is a triumphant one. 'Hunger' manages to deliver a message of sustained musical relevance in emphatic fashion to warm the soul. 'Hunger' sees a worldwide release on September 9th, 2022 via all well-known digital content providers. Not to be missed!
