loved this the first time i heard it on the B-side,  back in his disco days, MJ really could do no wrong.  Off the   ' Off the Wall ' lp.  THE best album made, in my most humble opinion.  I merely extended the in/outro, i added a tiny bit of perc, and left his marvelous vocal alone.  The QJ arrangement really doesnt need fixing, so i didnt.   hope you enjoy.

First spring days are in front of us and we are back with the Watered EP remixes. Recently released EP by Jan Nemecek produced two new interpretations by Evident and Subsided. Both of the remixers took completely different approaches. Evident created extended straightforward tech version and used the samples from the whole EP. With the extended intro and outro the remix is almost twelve minutes long. It starts with the violine from the Uncertainty and the beat comes in shortly after. There are two breaks in the track that bring out the acoustic melancholy of the minors - while the beat explores the more euphoric acid and atmospheric sounds. This is the contrast we don’t hear too often and it’s the thing that we hope will keep you on your toes all the way through the twelve minutes. On the other hand the guest remixer from Serbia stayed true to the original and decided to reshape the original track in the beat dimension. His remix gives you a faster and more fluent beat with a strong definition. Stripped down of additional voices and effects his version feels heavier, but always nicely escorted with the signature melody of the Watered. Two remixes for slightly different dance floors... and a bonus. Until next time.

quivering keys and restrained percussion that engenders an ominous suspense ahead of Monoloc’s
enigmatic industrial techno crunch, Phoenix. Shifting through the haunting chords of Recondite’s dynamic
Murphy’s Law, to the brooding synth of Poseidon by Ukrainian duo Woo York, the realisation of Afterlife
utopia is upon us. The repetitive, mesmerising synth and effective reverb that Somne creates with Triangle
is an odyssey within itself. From there, John Hester’s expertly woven ‘Logan’ is a feverish techno stab that
transverses through the emotional senses, transitioning to Locked Groove’s adroitly crafted Emeralds, to
Ryan James Ford’s ambient, albeit percussive, techno cut Toree Bahrstad. Die Wiederkehr is the outcome
of Obscure Shape & SHDW’s collaboration, which incorporates facets of techno and trance that have

Since its launch in 2010, Soulfooled has been lovingly curated by Alex Niggemann and has steadily established itself as a crucial platform for exciting, fresh talent. With a deep love for classic analogue sounds, merged with the limitless palette of possibilities afforded by modern music-making technology, DJ/producer Kris Davies utilises his meticulous production skills and a flair for crafting distinctive, intricate soundscapes, to stamp an emotional ambient mark on all his tracks and mixes. Now, he is set for his debut single release with the ever-evolving Soulfooled family, with two exceptionally creative tracks. 

An instantly infectious, hip-swinging rhythmic backbone means “Aura” wastes no time before launching into a breath-taking display of creative genius, as it builds layers of melodic motifs, juxtaposed synth lines and flourishes to make it an irresistible musical delight – visualise a dynamic 121bpm ball of energy, pirouetting majestically around the dancefloor.

The subtle, percussive ‘Goodbye Lullaby’ with its wonderful hint of melancholic reflection, serves to create a distinctly different, but no less enthralling atmosphere, showing another side of Kris Davis’ standout inventiveness. ‘Mare’ is Christian Löffler’s second studio album and follows in a similar vein to his self-released debut, 2012’s ‘A Forest’. Recorded in his painting atelier the album features an expanded co-work with Hamburg based vocalist Mohna and it’s the first time he has sung himself on a release.
A key difference is the much more organic feel of the music, nearly every sound and every instrument is self-recorded using a huge collective of self-modified synthesizers and traditional instruments.
