My Playlist - part 2

"jaytes's 'Sweettooth' E.P. says more about itself than a columnist can. Using simple mechanics these songs minimize the amount boisterousness EDM music is known to have, and maximizes the amount of intimacy the artist is capable of reaching it's audience with. Starting out with a track like 'Topanga' we're reminded of the reason we find ourselves in music and musical rabbit-holes... To detach ourselves from the horrific nature of life and what it can drop just outside our bedroom. The journey from the intro "Apertura' all the way to the driven and distorted Title track "Sweettooth" make this Lofi house adventure most unlike it's peers featuring both moments of authenticity in not only the lyrics but instumentation (that's right I said instrumentation) as well.
After a year like JT has had 'Sweettooth is a crowning achievement.

...So we originally planned to make a potpourri of tracks as a hodge-podge "end of the year blowout sale," instead we ended making a Lofi House joint🤙

Focusing more on story telling rather than "Hit-Seeking" this EP does fall into the nostalgia trope of the genre in a way our project has yet to bother with. In the beggining of next year we'd love to delve more into club sound and crowd pleasing but for now the grunge is grrrreat!

Hope you had a fantastic year; from all of us over here thank you so so so much for being apart of our sound and being an ear willing to listen. Your plays and support are worth their weight in GOLD, and are the greatest luxury i've ever known.
Can't wait for what 2023 has in store!!!
