Written in the midst of the first covid wave, this quartet was meant to represent various feelings whilst being in quarantine (depression, restlessness, anxiety, anger), ending with hope for the future.
This recording was performed by the Viano String Quartet at SMU in November, 2022.

my name is Eduardo Hawkins III. i have been known musically as Eddie, Zed, Febes Domoron, Muscience or Ehaw Music. i play all clavier, all battery, and all strings plecturned, scraped, rubbed, bowed, or acoustically excited by their amplified self or wind passing by. i am an audio engineer by profession with the Houston Grand Opera and Houston Ballet. i am a member in good standing with I.A.T.S.E. local 51 stagehands union specializing in the audio department.

i enjoy patterns of time, tapestries of frequencies with/without the range of the human ear, and breaking rules. i will improvise anything, anywhere, anytime, anyhow. i learn about music but more importantly i unlearn it. i compose for many genres, barely. i want to hear things that i've never heard before and approach music composition with this wish list in hand. i play drums/produce/write for a rock and roll band called horseshoe. but, on this soundcloud it's all about me and my sonic intentions. 

i've started a magazine called "Muscience" about the science of music....but, i never finished or published it. it's more like i'm living it. it is a word i coined from the idea of Mu is a reply which unasks the question (zen studies) and science, which nothing but asking questions. it's how i approach music with the learning/unlearning trick. also try to apply to elements of life that let me.  i am facinated with what is called the human muse. what inspires people? why? how? it is an unreply-able question. but, there are subtle hints. and to ride the wave of creativity is the only thing humans are good for in my opinion. not really, but sorta, but yeah...

when i was very young i experimented with strange sounds with dads reel to reel.  and that is basically the gist of what i have done since the beginning. 

i am available for childrens parties. if by children you mean adults who act like children. 

i once played keys in a jamband called potroast every wednesday night for 8 years.  then i realized how much i hate jambands.
some bands that i love right now are (in no particular order) deerhoof, buke and gass, the flaming lips, the super furry animals (rip).... and a bunch of others that i'm too tired to type.  

i want to someday record a tree growing for 40 years. then speed up the tape for a 4 minute sound. 

why yes, i would love for you to pay me to make music 24/7.

i suck at descriptions.
