I started composing daily pieces and posting them onto SoundCloud at the beginning of 2013.  By posting daily I am tweaking, experimenting and developing a thought, idea or event in time.  I am endeavouring to show that there is no limit to that creative spark that lies within each of us.  So much of what we do nowadays is about instant return, I am about evolution not revolution (although each month starts with a clean slate).  Join me on my journey to 10,000 (18 May 2040!!!)

Born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal, Sara studied music from a young age. At 13 she wrote her first song and has been composing ever since.

Aged 18 and fresh out of school she swapped Lisbon for London to pursue a career in the music industry studying first at the Academy Of Contemporary Music and later at the University of Westminster, where she developed her guitar, vocal and performance skills, gained invaluable insight into the industry, and perfected her songwriting.

Sara is also a member of the ACM Gospel Choir, who reached the semi - finals of BBC One's TV Show Last Choir Standing in the summer of 2008. The group have since performed up and down the country with the likes of Scouting For Girls, Russel Watson, Michael Ball and Beverley Knight as well as having sung for the Queen and Royal Family. In addition they recorded 2 studio albums, including Christmas With The Choir recorded at the legendary AIR Studios in London, and contributed with backing vocals to Gabriella Cilmi's "Let Me Know" on her album Ten.

But Sara's passion has always been in songwriting and her debut EP, Our Tree, showcases her well-crafted and unique blend of folk-infused, acoustic guitar driven pop-rock. Recorded by producer/engineer Glenn Skinner (Boy George, Wendy Matthews, Lighthouse Family), Our Tree - EP was released on the 1st of May 2012, and is available as a limited edition CD and digital download. About her songwriting she says: "My songs are about my own personal experiences but also those of the people around me. All of my songs are quite personal, about people, places, and people in places."

Cerulean S. Payne-Passmore (they/them) is a composer and electronic musician from Philadelphia, PA currently pursuing doctoral studies in music composition as a Benjamin Franklin Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, studying with Tyshawn Sorey. Their compositional practice focuses on collaborative improvisation, augmenting acoustic sound with electronics, and making what seems strange sound beautiful. In their music, Cerulean experiments with harmony to find new patterns from familiar sounds, integrating intuitive expansion of traditional tonality with new harmonic constructs. Their work often returns to themes of climate change and gender expression. Recently, they have collaborated to create new works with bassoonist Dana Jessen, Yarn/Wire, the TAK Ensemble. 
Currently, they are composing a string quartet on the experience of living through the climate crisis, an electroacoustic piece for voice and feedback inspired by Octavia Bulter’s writings, and a piece for electro-acoustic chamber ensemble that confronts the darkness lurking within the creative psyche. 

In their spare time, Cerulean enjoys reading speculative fiction, exploring new places, and hanging out with their foster cat(s).
