Last week I was asked to compose piano-only soundtrack for a Drama play called "Pacific Ocean" about the immigration of an Iranian couple to Turkey and its tragic outcome for the main characters.
Special thanks to my friend Elham Shadkam and the director Zahra Bakhshpoor for trusting me and my music for their masterpiece and my own instructor Mr.Omidvar Tehrani.

The first track from my new EP "Memories of Tomorrow", released by Circa Recordings on July 7th, 2020. A collection of 2 counterpoints and another piece I wrote back in 2018 but couldn't find a publisher for. 

Forgetting has always been the hardest thing I have had to do in my life. This EP is about the things I had to forget, the things I had to let go as a result of my transition from a dreamer child with a head full of hopes and dreams to a lost adult who questions life's purpose and reason every single day. The album title signifies the memories of my past that are going to be the only thing left for me from that time for the rest of my life. Memories I'll always cherish and I'll always think about. Recollections of my past that are going to be the memories for my days to come. Memories of my tomorrows.

"The absence of sound between notes are equally as critical as the chords. This is a minimalist exercise in contrast – the composer only presents what is required to conjure deep emotions. Behzad is a natural at writing within this style and one might even compare these atmospheric pieces with the works of contemporary composers, Arvo Pärt and Max Richter." - Circa Recordings
