Here to show us how digital fusion can be danced to, Shady Monk from Philadelphia & That Andy Guy from Alabama have prepared a mixtape with fresh new songs and remixes of their faves. "Digital fusion" is basically the genre that DESKPOP first became known for before dipping into hyperpop. It's like vgm (video game music) but relies less on nostalgic sounds and more on complex rhythms + genre blending of jazz/funk/dance. Some of the featured musicians are well known in the digital fusion scene, and some are from the hyperpop network! Everything sorta “fuses” together hehe

◆『SONASILE』アルバム紹介

クラシック／現代音楽等のアカデミックなシーンにおいて日本音楽コンクール第１位受賞（作曲部門）やNHK Eテレ『スコラ 坂本龍一 音楽の学校』への出演等で活躍する一方、電子音楽／サウンドアートのシーンにおいてラップトップによるライブパフォーマンスを断続的に行うなど、ジャンルに捉われない極めて幅広い活動を行っている音楽家の網守将平。これまで音楽シーンと美術シーンの狭間で五線譜とコンピューターを瞬く間に持ち替えてきた彼の単独デビュー作は、自らのピアノやボーカルをエレクトロニックサウンドと共にふんだんに取り入れた、まさかの全編ポップミュージックによるフルアルバム。予測不可能な楽曲構造と複雑なアレンジメントが展開されつつも、一度聴いたら頭から離れなくなるような中毒性の高いメロディーを隙あらば擦り込ませるなど、ジャンル不問かつ総合的に培われた作曲スキル・ポップセンスが容赦なく発揮されており、アルバム全体が一本の叙事詩的映画のように絶妙にまとめ上げられている。そこには、YMO～渋谷系～音響派と脈々と受け継がれてきた日本の音楽とテクノロジーの歴史や文脈を一旦脱構築し、ポジティブに俯瞰する行為をリスナーにもたらし得る、多様な聴取／思考の可能性が備わっている。

ゲストヴォーカリストとして、シンガーソングライターとして既に全国的に高い評価を得ている柴田聡子(M3)、作曲家としても活動しnobleからのリリースなどで知られるBabi(M8)が参加。作詞とギターで、活発なソロ活動と共にceroなどのサポートミュージシャンも務めている古川麦(M10)が参加。マスタリングは、サウンドアーティストでありながらエンジニアとしてもテニスコーツ作品のマスタリングなど幅広く活動を展開している大城真が担当。コンピュータグラフィックス・実写合成を用いたアートワークは若手美術作家である永田康祐が担当している。

◆プロフィール  網守 将平

音楽家。作曲家。東京芸術大学音楽学部作曲科卒業、同大学院音楽研究科修士課程修了。2013年日本音楽コンクール作曲部門１位（室内楽）等受賞歴多数。学生時代より、クラシックや現代音楽の作曲家／アレンジャーとして活動を開始し、室内楽からオーケストラまで多くの作品を発表。作品はパリ、ロンドン、モントリオール等海外でも広く演奏され、NHKFMの現代音楽関連番組でも取り上げられている。また東京芸術大学大学院修了オーケストラ作品は大学買上となり、東京芸術大学大学美術館にスコアが永久保存されている。2010年以降は電子音楽やサウンドアートの領域においても活動を開始し、美術館やギャラリーでのライブパフォーマンスや他アーティスト楽曲のリミックス、映像作品への楽曲提供、マルチチャンネルによるサウンドインスタレーション作品などを発表。近年はポップミュージックを含めさらに横断的且つ総合的な活動を展開し、様々な表現形態での作品発表・ライブパフォーマンスを行っている。またコラボレーションワークも積極的に行っており、原摩利彦、大和田俊、梅沢英樹など多くのアーティストとの作品制作を断続的に行っている。2017年、梅沢英樹との共作アルバムをHome Normal（英）よりリリース予定。
