We discuss the dangers of urban bike riding, Fred moves to New York City (so we play Smash or Send with Fred's dumb stuff,) Arisa has misadventures on Tindr, we talk earnestly about why some cities stink, ponder the miracle that is Coke Freestyle, and make fun of Fred throughout for voluntarily becoming East Coast Scum.

Inspired by the subtle changes in the (falling figure) video, I layered two acoustic guitars (tuned to open D), a sliced up drum loop and a VST organ, then adjusted the master volume so each element faded in and out of the mix.

The band Eiffel Tower was born in 2010 after the trio met while working together at a psych hospital in Chicago. The three quickly honed their live act and gained attention for their epileptic stage presence and catchy, “ear-cocaine” hooks, while their anxious, frenetic sound drew comparisons to The Feelies, XTC and Superchunk.

Thematically, ET’s music explores delusional thinking and coming of age in the cultural landscape of 80′s and 90′s era Chicago, starting with their 2010 eponymous EP. 

In 2013, the band penned the critically-acclaimed “Will Perdue.” which was recognized by Chicagoist as a “staff pick” for album of the year. The band followed with sharp follow-up EPs, “Jane Byrne” (2014) and “Eugene Sawyer” (2016) that furthered the band’s exploration of the themes of hypochondria, attachment, and the cataclysmic hazard posed by the confluence of the MRSA outbreak and trysts at erotic water parks.
