Really enjoying this - great guitar and rhythm

new songs here on SoundCloud starting summer 2022, these tracks are all me so they’re im/perfect because I wrote, played, recorded, produced and mixed everything myself.

🎵 Embark on a raw and deeply personal journey with my latest musical project, where I poured my heart and soul into crafting nine captivating tracks. From writing and playing to recording, mixing, and promoting every note, it was a solitary and sometimes overwhelming experience.

Navigating the twists and turns of creative expression, I found myself grappling with loneliness and self-doubt. Despite pouring countless hours into my music, the echo of my own voice often felt like the only audience I had.

The dream of connecting with fellow artists, friends, and communities through my art seemed distant and elusive. As I pushed myself to promote my work, the harsh reality set in—a year and a half later, my songs had only reached a handful of loved ones.

The hardest part? Coming to terms with the fact that my music may never reach beyond those already in my corner. The relentless pursuit of validation and recognition felt futile, overshadowed by the warmth and support of those closest to me.

Perhaps the true beauty lies not in reaching others, but in the intimate connection forged with those who have been by my side all along. In moments of solitude, I've come to realize that listening—to myself and to the ones I love—may hold more meaning than any fleeting fantasy of fame or recognition.

So as you listen to these songs, know that they carry a piece of my soul—a reminder that art is not just about reaching others, but about finding solace and connection within ourselves.

My latest demo song about the rainy midsummer monsoon here in New Mexico high desert.
The midsummer monsoon here in the high desert this year gave me Seasonal Affective Disorder. It went from months of hot dry sun to sudden rainstorms and dark overcast days, I am in sunshine withdrawal, it's like the Northwest in the Southwest.

Do we fall in love, because love is gravity? 
Like the other demo tracks I did everything on this track myself, and my mix is rough, but it is liberating to create a song from start to finish fast. The concept behind this song is the connection between love and strange force of gravity ---Like love, gravity is very mysterious to science, no other force in physics only attracts, gravity is the only force that only has a positive and no negative charge, so although it is called the weak force it is cumulative. I hope this song inspires someone to think about the parallels between love and gravity.

I wrote this song to try and comfort someone with depression.

As long as I can remember I have absorbed the slick marketing ideal of a tidy wireless world without a tangled mess of cables, but then I realized, mess is an essential part of music and creativity, and cables are tangible and they don't need to be charged, you just plug them in. Maybe messy cables are better than adding antennas, receivers and RFI to everything? 
So I wrote this song about falling in love with cables again, for the first time, and celebrating and accepting cables and cords in all their sexy analog simplicity, they are going to be around, and around, so I am going to embrace them.

Cables in Love [5]

I used these jangly nuts that rattle for the rhythm part, I think they are from Mexico. I wanted to evoke the longing of a houseplant that sits by the window and dreams of being outside, in the soil that connects it to every other plant on earth, but does not know that out there it is winter, and all the plants are frozen or dormant. I take good care of my houseplants, but they are hard to please.
