Twilight's Serenade is a short ambient soundscape composition intended to promote sleep. As the sun's warm embrace begins to yield to the cool embrace of the night, this piece captures the gentle, romantic essence of that fleeting moment. The white noise, pink noise and binaural beats give a calming background - while the soft choir sound and gentle flourishes which feature are like whispered secrets exchanged between lovers under a canopy of dusky skies.

Twilight's serenade

"The original sound can be heard as the piece opens, the sound soon becomes increasingly processed and synthesised using granular synthesis of the original fountain audio, combined with short melodic passages from the piano and harp and a layer of ambient synthesiser. The listener can experience an immersive auditory journey that captures both the calm meditative flow of water surrounded by a busy city environment."

- This piece uses a field recording of the ‘Fontana dei Cavalli Alati’ from Vicenza, Italy.

Aquasonic Cityscape

Amaranthine is a short ambient instrumental soundscape with luscious pulsating loops accompanied by long transitions and feedback. The piece has a sense of being unfinished and leaves the listener curious for more.

Amaranthine

Transcending Realms is an experimental, dark ambient, atmospheric sound art piece with an avant-garde feel. It is about transcending our human realm, connecting and communicating with the spiritual world. This experience evokes fear and uncertainty as one moves into the unknown.

Transcending Realms

This piece was inspired by the above ‘untitled’ sculpture of Japanese-American abstract/expressionist sculptor Leo Amino and his works. It is a short electroacoustic piece using string instruments(violin, viola, cello, double bass) and the Japanese ‘koto’. 


A few ideas I came up with to try experiment with and evoke in the piece were...reflections, space, the observer and the observer observing the object (inside and outside), proximity (panning, reverb portraying closer and dry sound vs more distant reverb with wetter, less defined sound) tension with stretched bow and high harmonic pitches in the strings for the wires, smoother lower notes for the smoother parts of sculpture
