'Once again we revisit Brazilian dj/producer Fuscarini's acclaimed debut EP "Clouds". A debut representing Mango Alley's annual homage to Amsterdam, Lucas Grain returns to fill the spaces "Between Us". Rapid-fire melodies bounce off clean marble surfaces in bright reflections of metronomic power alongside the constant ticking of brittle hi-hats. A juxtaposition of eerie vocal treatment strikes a chord somewhere between beauty and sadness.

A synthesis of Finnish innovation and familiarity sees Movement Machina return. Throbbing bass intent highlights vocal phrasing in a jumble of effected treatments where the sonic space lights up in glorious originality and infinitely pitched percussion. Spanish flair rises from the sound of Integral Bread – common refrains from between us radiating a pulsating evolution of sound in acetylene-torch lead and vocal contrast. Innovation highlights a new rhythmic pattern of spellbinding beauty and resonance.

Ice cold German brilliance shines a new light between us in techno machinations. Tantum redefines the techno landscape with a kaleidoscope of rippling energy that charges the space with each passing movement. Vocal pitching goes with the grain to reflect previous passions.

Joël has enjoyed mainstream electronic music from the tender age of 12, but it wasn’t until his brother took him to a festival that he discovered techno. He recalls watching Ame & Egbert playing at the time, being mesmerised by the detail and expression of the music. This first techno experience had him sold.

As with many young electronic music producers Joël is self taught, although he is very grateful to ‘Love Over Entropy’ from whom he learnt a lot within a short frame of time. Taking his inspiration from labels such as Afterlife, Steyoyoke & Awen Records, Joël has carefully crafted his own signature sound, combining complex drum patterns with dark textures and melodies.

His goal is to always tell a story through his tracks, with the aim of them being enjoyed both on & off the dancefloor.

The title track rolls forward like a wave, lives on the frenetic atmosphere underlined by a slightly darker synth, and a delicate voice, which is interrupted when the beautiful strident piano conducts the tonal change. 

The second track has a pulsating, hypnotic bass line and a lovely layered melodic synth. One by one, the musical layers are added as a majestic soundscape develops as the tension continues to rise throughout the track until you discover the beautiful theme of continuous harmonized evolutions.

Welcome Arash Shadram and Sophijan on Einmusika. "God's Eyes Are Sleeping" is a deep and minimalistic melodic techno tune with a catchy hook sound. "Black Tears" is dreamy, melancholic and has a beautiful violin sample next to piano chords and a modulated synth lead. "Serenity" starts mysterious and builds a lot of tension through the track.
