Born out of an indefinite lockdown in 2021, LSS is a joint project from Naarm-based artists JXTPS and Edward Richards. Drawing on their shared love of complex rhythms, melancholic soundscapes and analog hardware, LSS blurs the lines between hypnotic techno, ambient dub and futuristic electro on the tracks Oneiric and EVJT, with transformative remixes provided by Sam KDC and Viels.

Artscope Radio #49 : Medulla Oblongata

Recently, efforts are being made to achieve harmony between techno and drum & bass rhythms. However, a small number of people have been attempting this for quite some time. His mix is ​​like a sharp and sophisticated blade that focuses years of past attempts into one delicate spot. Deadly and beautiful.

Medulla Oblongata is a discreet yet emerging Dj who blossoms in his musical biotope between ambient and a mental and hypnotic techno. His techno sets are an invitation to an immersive journey where dancers can forget themselves. We could see him working lately with the Château Perché Festival (as a DA/Stage manager or Dj) and their secret and uncompromising side projects and famous venues of the east of France such as KALT (Strasbourg, Fr) or Ostra Club (Nancy, Fr) where he can express himself without boundaries.

With other weirdos he also co-founded the collective TRÊVE gathering artists from different horizons around ambient and visual arts in order to propose dreamlike and contemplative events. His ambient sets become hybridized with tape loops, droning machines, cassettes and modular synth.
