Wait A Minute

A soft laid back track written around the two words 'Little Town' which popped into my musical head. A little bit of research online and although the lyrics are idealistic Hochatown seemed to fit the bill quite well so I wrote the song around it.

Lyrics.

There’s a little town in Southeast Oklahoma
They call it Hochatown and you can watch the Eagles fly
Follow the Forest trail along the Mountain-Fork River
There you can rest a while amongst the heady forest pine

The folk’s there will ease your mind, 
They’re as easy as the summer breeze
You’ll fall in love and you will never want to leave

Hochatown, the little place that I have found
The place I love to be I just wish that I could stay
And when the nightfall comes the starlit skies go on forever
And the memories that I make will never fade

There are the sounds of silence everywhere
The whisper of the leaves as they move in the night air
The golden glow on the lake as I watch the sun going down
A special place that’s how I think of Hochatown

Hochatown it’s the place to drift away
It’s where I need to be and I just wish that was there
And when the nightfall comes the starlit skies go on forever
I can’t help myself as I say a silent prayer.

I’m going back get a boat and do some fishing
The open skies they clear your mind and set you free
You’ll find that time can seem to linger on and on
And when it’s time to go I know I’ll miss that when I’m gone

Hochatown, I just love the way that sounds
It’s where I want to be and I just wish that I could stay
And when the nightfall comes the starlit skies go on forever
There’s no other place quite the same as Hochatown.
