Moisturizedkev, or Kev if you choose, is a rapper and producer born in Camden, NJ on August 16th, 1990. A product of a broken home, Kev was raised by relatives and never met his father. However, Kev let south Jersey break him down, and he gave up on music to live his life: fighting, selling drugs, partying, going to jail… at some point though, every person has to look in the mirror and decide who they want to be. When that moment came for Kev, he knew he had to get some stability in his life. 

Now, at the age of 30, Kev has decided to let the music that had been building up inside out, or whatever. What makes moisturizedkev unique is his unwillingness to compromise his unique quirks to make it in rap- he raps over experimental beats with a flow that is equal parts spoken word, braggadocios battle rap and humble backpacker, he unashamedly includes his politics in his content without sacrificing that edge, and he DIYs everything, by choice. 

Moisturizedkev’s fanbase is so varied that it’s hard to specifically quantify how you got here…. You may have seen him stanning his GOAT Lupe Fiasco…. You may have heard one of his choruses that was heavily influenced by Young Thug an Playboi Carti, but rapping on the verses with the nonchalant confidence of Roc Marciano, with content giving you early Kanye vibes…. Or maybe it’s the beats- influenced by legends such as Madlib, Pharrell Williams and El-P. However you got here, moisturizedkev welcomes you and hopes you enjoy the sound.
