Hildegarda(aka Agnese Menguzzato) is an Italian composer & musician based in Berlin. She is our second mentee of the month! Classically trained, she then started experimenting with electroacoustic compositions and electronics, seen as a timeless vehicle to reach a wider spectrum of aural possibilities. She often employs the auditory potential of her lute to create uncanny paths in the harmonic and tonal sequences of her work. Her constant sonic research reflects also her early fascination for polyphonic choir music from Renaissance and the Middle Ages. 

Hildegarda’s musical expression is deeply rooted in her childhood imagery and in the confront with nature, from which every human sentiment flows; having lived between Trentino Alps and Emilia Apennines, she’s driven to create sonic landscapes, in which she gathers and combines raw and digital sounds. Her music laps various fields of application in media. She’s currently involved in a project on the sound perception in Japanese culture through Shinto rituals.

Hello.

As all of you will be aware the COVID-19 outbreak has effected the lives
of many of us across numerous professions and areas of society. The
entertainment industry is one sector which has been greatly impacted by
the outbreak. I'm now in a situation where all my upcoming shows have
been cancelled & there is still a lot of uncertainty if and when anything
will be rescheduled.

In response to this I've compiled a 10 track LP entitled 'Deleted Cache',
a selection of unreleased tracks from the last 10 years dredged from the
depths of my HDD. This release includes unused album tracks
(inc. an alternate version of 'Android' from my 2018 'Hollow Body' LP)
and some files which were recovered from a permadeath'd laptop.

I understand that many of you are in the same situation as me and are
facing financial difficulties so I've set the minimum price for the whole LP
at £1. If you're in a position to contribute a little more that would be
greatly appreciated but any contribution is really welcome at this time.
Bandcamp are waiving their revenue share on sales for Friday the 20th
of March so this is a perfect time to support artists who are currently
struggling.

Picture a drumhead - its membrane stretched taught over a seemingly endless container of energy below. Swirling with dense, palpable and pent up power this hollow goes on forever. Matt DZP (@matt-percic) calmly plumbs these depths on Shell Tape 48, keeping a steady hand and clear head all the way through. 

Devoutly remaining in the low end of town, this week's mix consists of carefully bottled bassweight and gentle but constant pressure - it's a slow burn from tripsy start all the way to it's upper tempo finish. Dubwise mutations, junglist offshots and mind bending dancefloor psychedelia all combine in a heady multi-origin blend that delivers an immediate hit.

Impeccably mixed with clinical skill and taste, "Murky Brews" traces a path from the rave's doors opening to it's smoky sunlit ending. Plant yourself in front of the largest speaker stack you can locate and soak it all up - this is one to get the bassbins firing.
