The series is a collection of seven releases inspired by the following films created in the 20th century: THX 1138, 2001 A Space Odyssey, Blade Runner, The Thing, Akira, Terminator and Tron. 
You will listen interpretations inspired by movies: THX 1138 (by Transpac) and Blade Runner (by Scape One). This is our tribute as well to the talented Greek electronic music artist - Vangelis (RIP), who has written music for Blade Runner movie. Crime (the man behind @FearNoSystem) is a DJ, which gets his inspiration from old Detroit's sound and aesthetic. His sound combines fast tempo Electro with groovy techno. In his DJ sets he is known for his deep basslines and kicks, which create an experimental mood, but at the same time is rhythmic. After creating the Georgian-based label 'Fear No System' he is focused on modernizing the Old-School Electro aesthetic into contemporary terms.

1. Which artists has influenced you the most?

- I've always had a huge admiration for all things Detroit and the 90’s which I grew up in and in particular the Original Trio of UR 101, Jeff Mills, Robert Hood and Mad Mike. HEROES!

2. What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future?

- In Jan 2022, I launched my own Label Mini Man Records, Focusing on Electro & Techno with a nod to all things Detroit, Acid, Funk & Sci-Fi.
The 1st EP, The Bends was a Sci-Fi style electro EP (Limited Number still available ) and the 2nd instalment Sea Snake drops 30th Sep which is a darker electro EP with lots of soul and funk it comes with a killer remix from Human Rebellion which is pure fire. The 3rd EP on MMR which is part of a trilogy as the music gets darker is due out 2023.. I’ve a couple of other projects bubbling under the surface and all will be revealed, you will have to stay tuned.

3. Which artists/labels are more relevant to you now?

- Artists like Human rebellion, The Exaltics, Heinrich Dressel, Scape One, Maelstrom are inspiring. While labels like, Science Cult, Rave or Die, Truss and Mechatronica keep on knocking out the goods, also shouts out to Keith Tucker aka K1 for his non-stop work and rereleasing some of his PuzzleBox back catalogue along with future classics. On the Techno front Artists like Lee Holman and Stef Mendesidis are always on top of their game.

4. What inspires you now to create music?

- Positive energy and positive vibes help me, but to be honest, I only make music when I’m in a state of flow and I make whatever flows out through me, I never force it or push it, I might wake up with an idea and I go straight into the studio and jam out my ideas.

5. If it's not a secret, what set-up do you use when creating music?

- No secret, I record everything through an old Mackie 24/8 straight into the Ableton which is my DAW of choice. My Hardware setup has been the same for a long time and I’m super happy with it.

For the 532nd episode of @DarkScienceElectro we check out a live performance recording of @cyphon14 & @obzerv

All tracks written and performed live by Cyphon and Obzerv using two Elektron Digitakts, one Elektron Digitone and a MAM MB33 running through an old Boss delay box. The set is comprised entirely of unreleased and original music.

Cyphon and Obzerv are a pair of 21 and 22-year-old producers from London, who have collaborated since high school. Having experimented with a few different genres – after discovering Electro they found the sound they wanted to specialize in crafting. Through their music they express their experience of growing up in the Age of the Internet, taking inspiration from science fiction stories and global current affairs alike. 

Over the past year they have broadcast live worldwide on Threads Radio and taken their act to club dance-floors, where they have supported Radioactive Man and Afrodeutsche.
