We welcome the brilliant  EKATA to the series for mix #084.

London based selector EKATA is self-described as genre and sound obsessive. She has built a reputation as a huge advocate for purist Electro and a creator of a dark and warped experience. 

Her Electro shows on Ripe Radio Manchester have turned the heads of some of the most respected and well established artists of the underground scene, including the likes of Anthony Rother who has expressed his love for her vision.

EKATA is currently working on her own productions, she also has a brand new residency on Netil Radio in East London starting this month. 
Aswell as this, she has a few un-announced shows in the pipeline - She's definitely one to watch in 2022.

The Droid is the futuristic electro-funk moniker of Ben Evans, an electro producer based in the UK, who takes inspiration from minimal based grooves and monotony.

He is also the founder of podcast series Cyber Domain and runs a label under the same brand with Leipzig based electro producer, Hardenberg.

Jay Ellis (@jay2674)has played at various clubs around West Yorkshire like the Mint Club, Mission, and Space Leeds. He has also been DJ support for live shows for artists like Cybereign. He has been in love with Electro music since he was a school-aged lad in the 1980s. He dabbled with Rave in the 90's, got turntables, and immediately went back to his first love after listening to 'Don't Stop The Beat' by Anthony Rother and other classic tracks by the likes of Mr. Velcro Fastener and Dexter.

Simona Dellamorte is a dj and producer based in Haarlem. Her debut EP as her solo project Feralia Planitia was released at the end of 2021, and was well received by the press and the public,  still being aired by electronic music radio programs around the world. Dellamorte’s compositions evoke the diverse styles of electronic music she loves, Ebm, industrial and electro, but at the same time it sounds highly personal and original. Using a mix of hardware, software synths and percussions, she creates entrancing tracks with a futuristic, dystopian feel, bolstered by captivating rhythms that are never obvious. In this mix prepared for Tracklistings, she proposes some of the electro tracks that she currently favours.

EKATA is a London based DJ/Producer + Natural Selection Resident who's productions are characterised by their dark and atmospheric soundscapes, driven by pulsating rhythms and intricate synth work.

With support from the likes of Anthony Rother, Bloody Mary, Dave Clarke amongst others, EKATA's genuine and passionate approach to Electro is something that is rarely matched.

Determined to create music that is unearthly, idiosyncratic and exuding futurism of that of a sci-fi film, she always ensures a story is to be told in each track she produces.
She mainly sticks to the dark and eerie side of Electro/Techno in her productions & gigs, where she will take you on a dark and twisted journey through incredibly dystopian, ominous grooves and obvious sci-fi fixations which embody her carefully picked selections.
