I'm the house that fell on the bitter witch.

Born and raised on and off the reservation in Arizona, but primarily in the big city of Flagstaff. Before I knew how to play guitar I had a nylon string that my cousin Jovanna gave to me when I was seven or eight. I would sit with that guitar untuned and pretend to be performing all types of different music. When I was nine, my father layaway purchased an Act II electric Guitar and amp from Walmart, and that was it, I was doomed to be a musician. I would be remiss to not mention that two of my early role models in music are my older brothers Richard and curtis. In fact, when we finally got the guitar out of layaway, the first song I ever learned or more accurately, the first riff I ever learned on my electric guitar was the opening to the blink-182 song “what’s my age again”.  My brother Richard showed me where to put my fingers in which strings to play and then demonstrated in front of me how to play it. Something clicked rather fast for me in guitar and within a month and a half I had mastered that guitar riff and was ready to learn the next riff of the song. 
My mom signed me up for guitar lessons at the local music shop, Arizona music pro and there I worked with a teacher named Dean who demonstrated how to sound out the guitar parts on the CDs of the bands that I liked most. I didn’t stay for that many lessons as once I saw how Dean was sounding it out I thought, “why not just do this myself?“. And a legend was born… Lol JKJK soon after that, I learned how to read guitar tableture books and promptly started collecting all of my favorite musicians, album song books which I would spend hours studying with the goal of playing along with the entire CD without stopping. ￼
Now I write and record myself and perform locally here in the Seattle area. I’m currently practicing with one group while collaborating with my brother who lives in Kansas City, Missouri. He, Curtis Yazza Jr, is featured in two of my most recent uploads.
