Introducing Elko B.’s debut on Ekster: “I Bambini Di Basilisco”. Twelve tracks pressed on 180g vinyl with pantone printed sleeves and silk screened (glow in the dark) plastic over-sleeve.

Considering Elko Blijweert's been active in the Belgian music scene for about fifteen years now, it comes as quite a surprise that "I Bambini Di Basilisco"is only his first ever solo album. Known mainly for his virtuoso yet ever idiosyncratic guitar playing, Elko B. treats the listener to much more than just that. With the exception of the heavily guitar-driven western pastiche "Cochon Torrero", the emphasis here lies on dark Carpenteresque synthesizer sounds as well as jolly child-friendly melodies. The twelve pleasantly concise songs, mainly based on compositions Blijweert made as soundtrack material for contemporary dance theatre and children's puppet theatre, beautifully blend together into a whole as the listener is presented with a unique glimpse inside the wide-ranging imagery that is Elko B.'s ever-expanding musical world.

Native Instrument is a Berlin based sound collaboration bringing together the fieldrecordings archive of Felicity Mangan and the abstract vocabulary of Stine Janvin Motland.

Often referred to as insect techno, Native Instrument’s music is constructed using electronic and vocal adaptations of wildlife audio recordings originating mainly from the Australian and North European fauna; mixing the natural rhythms of animal calls with digital effects and vocal imitations, Native Instrument enlightens a sonic ambiguity between rural nature, electronics, and the human voice. 
 
Over time, field recordings and human vocabulary become mixed up, indiscernible from one another – a sound illusion that ends in the creation of a new melodious wildlife genre.

With their debut release Camo, Native Instrument presents their true artificial nature; sound collages moving between tropical ambience, club inspired bug beats and amphibian trance. 

Mastered by Giuseppe Ielasi and pressed at Pallas in a first edition of 500 copies.

NEPTUNALIA, a festival of Neptune, celebrated at Rome, of which
very little is known. The day on which it was held, was probably the 23rd
of July. The festival was celebrated with games. Respecting the ceremonies
of this festival nothing is known, except that the people used to build
huts of branches and foliage, in which they probably feasted, drank, and
amused themselves.

Written by Berlin-based producer Linus Nicholson, aka Ausschuss, 'Room1' is a decidedly sci-fi take on electroacoustic experimentation — a grainy exodus into wistful neoclassical compositions and data-moshed found-sounds. At times the EP calls to mind Mica Levi’s Under The Skin soundtrack with its icy and foreboding soundscapes. Opener ‘Drown Later’ begins with caustic splashes of ambience, skittish percussion swaying to and fro lazily. Then there are tracks like ‘Blinding Partner’, a looming and sinister presence full of windswept drones and howling incantations.

With the release due on November 2nd, the Milan-based label generously offered up an exclusive preview of title track, a head-spinning mesh of granulated chimes, undulating low-end and gravelly atmospherics.

At the core of 'Everyone is here' lies Kajsa Lindgren's usual process, defined by one simple question: “How can you make something of your own by manipulating time and space?” The Swedish composer joins Warm Winters Ltd. after recent releases with Hyperdelia (WOMB, 2018) and Longform Editions (Undercurrents, 2019). 

This album's 20 tracks are based around archival recordings that Kajsa stumbled upon in her grandfather's old basement and around memories of places or sounds from her childhood. Slowly, the album moves through time, at first reinterpreting recordings from the 60s and 70s, eventually showcasing some of Kajsa's latest compositions for voice and field recordings. Some pieces utilise very specific recordings - “Trio for cello, piano and violin” is based on an audio snippet of Kajsa's “mother, uncle and grandfather making an appearance as a trio in Swedish radio sometime during the 70's” - while others - “Anna”, inspired by memories of the Lindgrens' family boat called Anna and the sensation of being rocked to sleep by the Baltic sea waves - are more related to memories, places or objects. 

But 'Everyone is here' isn't a mere timeline of sounds or melancholic dive into previous decades. The album is a meditation on themes of inheritance, family and closeness. The composer describes the process of collecting old sonic material as “comforting”, especially in relation to her relationship with her grandparents, parents and family friends. “[The process] has given me an intimate understanding of them as human beings. We’ve all been kids, becoming adults. Trying to figure out who we are, what we want, what makes us happy and sad in life. There’s a great sense of connection and humility in that.”
