Kevon Kurt Carter is a Trinidadian vocalist, songwriter, entertainer, & recording artist. At a very young age Carter realized his creative ability with music through play. His spontaneous compositions on the guitar highlighted an area of definite skill. At the age of 17, he left his home island and migrated to the United States. Observing the dynamic culture shock that is New York City, he embraced the change of environment and noted it as a 'new' chapter of his life. Carter defined himself as both a product of his West Indian roots and that of the New York melting pot in which he had instantly connected.

Carter's sound can most accurately be described as that of 'World Music', a distinction based almost entirely on the blending of his cultural influences. 
By age 24, Carter had already made his way through the New York City Independent artist's circuit. In 2008 Carter's official induction as a 'certified' artist came when he opened for International Reggae artists: Buju Banton, Super Cat, and Barrington Levi at the prestigious Madison Square Garden.

He has also performed with tribute/cover bands throughout some of the Caribbean islands for several functions whether it be corporate, jazz festivals, birthday/anniversary parties, wedding receptions, singing a wide range of music in the genres of pop, rnb, soul, classics, reggae, soca, and not to mention retro 70's, 80's, & much more.

Staying true to his craft, Carter is constantly working on new material, displaying his versatility through original compositions that draw its inspiration from his unique and intriguing personal experiences. Kevon Carter is excited to share his musical venture with the world one tune at a time.
