For this week's challenge, I picked another poem by Ōshima.

Ōshima Ryōta was a Japanese poet of the Edo period. Some sources say he was a disciple of Yosa Buson, while others say his master was Hattori Ransetsu. He's mostly remembered for his essay “Bashō ku kai” 芭蕉句解 ('Study of Bashō's haiku') published in 1759, a magnum opus of his studies and literary theories on Matsuo Bashō's work.

Les machines à fumée se transforment intérieurement, et vaporisent désormais de l’eau déminéralisée.

On entend qui bruissent les fourrés : une créature approche, ses grosses mains jouent avec des bretelles. D’esprit ne le conçoit-elle peut-être pas comme tout entier le sien, mais le corps de cette créature déborde : des poches de graisse l’enflent, des poils font des lianes, des fourmis le picorent.
-
Encore une créature qui penche du tronc. Son second pas balance le premier pour qu’elle maintienne l’axe de sa marche.

Kagami Shikō was a Japanese poet, considered one of the ten outstanding disciples (Shōmon jittetsu 蕉門十哲) of Matsuo Bashō. He was in turn the master of the famous poetess Fukuda Chiyo-ni.

Originally from the present-day Gifu Prefecture, Kagami Shikō became a monk at Daichi-ji Temple, and in 1690 he became a pupil of Bashō, later accompanying him on some of his journeys and recording his last will in 1694.

After Basho's death, he kept travelling around Japan, writing several essays on haiku and collections of writings until his death in 1731.

Forest Magic [ naviarhaiku575 ]

This is my first track using 'time stretch'. I took a simple 4 note piano chord, stretched it, added delay and reverb, reversed it, added more delay, stretched that, reversed it yet again and then added the final delay and reverb. Added synth sounds from the Behringer Kobol Expander. The higher percussive notes represent the pointy pine needles and the swept noise represents the wind.
