Iain is a Scottish conductor currently based in Copenhagen where he is studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. He is a church musician, a musicologist (with a particular interest in Scottish classical music), and has been known to dabble in composition and arranging.

Awaken is a music ministry team, made up of Christians from a variety of denominations across central Scotland. Founded in early 2010, the team are passionate followers of Jesus, seeking to bring glory and honour to Him in all that we do.

Through events and worship gatherings, the team seek to lead others to encounter the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Whether it's a large scale event, a Sunday morning service or a gig in bar, Awaken bring their message with energy and passion, motivated by their love for Christ.

The team have been writing new songs, bringing a fresh sound to contemporary worship music with a Scottish flair. 2011 saw the release of Awakens first recording project, ‘Your Love Is’, containing three songs written and crafted by Awaken, and one old favourite, rearranged to bring the song a new lease of life.

Awaken are eager to encourage and equip the church in their musical worship, through seminars, teaching, and our website. Our prayer is that we see revival rise up in our nation and a church that passionately worships our Saviour and King.
