About a year ago we spent two months in the UK traveling, meeting amazing artists, raving, and connecting with long time internet friends. We left the UK super inspired and as a result, started Joog Music. Over the last year we’ve been working OT to put out releases we truly believed in. It has been so endearing seeing our friends come up with us as we build this little platform, and through it made new friends and connections.

This summer we’ve stopped all digital releases while we took time to reflect and question what we want Joog Music to represent.

Joog Music wants to make good music accessible. We strive to cross-pollinate varying scenes with the intent to introduce people to new music and create new networks. We want to do our part to keep our favorite corners of rave alive in the Bay Area. We want to support up and coming artists, and in that also diversify our own taste and creative work. As we enter our second year, we want to continue this mission and create more safe in-person spaces for discovery, connection, and self-liberation.

With that being said, summer is over, and we want to get things rolling with our biggest release yet!

We got 26 killer tunes from local, internet, and international friends we’ve met on our travels! With this compilation, it was important to us that we represent Bay Area talent (very overlooked!), that we put on our friends we’ve met around the world, and that we capture up and coming talent that we’ve been obsessed with.

With 160 and Jungle (but not limited to) at the core of our criteria list, we picked out these tracks with dancers and DJs equally in mind. The compilation spans across various rave genres but still represents a cohesive vision of what Joog Music wants to curate for people that love to rave as much as we do.

We hope this becomes part of the rotation in the soundtrack of your life, as it has been for us! We hope you also feel inspired to make music and create your own network of party people in your corner of the world. We hope you discover new rabbit holes to dive into with every single of these talented producers!

Releasing together for the first time, Ommaya's first release of 2025 features label heads noRecall and Sawyer James teaming up for a split project 'Backbone' that serves as a mile marker for where both artists are at stylistically with their sounds and where they're headed, with the four tracks conjoined by their shared doses of heavy sub and rapid, rattling percussion. " I present to you: Drift.
This project has been a true artistic challenge, surpassing everything I've accomplished so far. I constantly questioned every detail, starting from scratch numerous times, leading to a delay in the release by several months. I delved into every aspect deeply, and although there are always possibilities for further creativity, I decided to stop at this point.

My aim was to return to the essence of Nomaa by blending more deconstructed productions with melodies and basslines, thus uniting the styles of my last two EPs with Yuku. The quirky and unexpected rhythms remain at the heart of my tracks, accompanied by new influences that sneak in here and there. Each track possesses a personal structure and tells a captivating story that never ceases to take you on a journey without stagnation.

This EP also provided me with a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with three artists I hold in high regard, both personally and artistically: Capiuz, Le Motel, and Ravl. Our values, tastes, and working methods perfectly harmonized, bringing to me lightness and balance to a project that was inherently introspective.

If there's one word that describes Drift perfectly, it's maturity. This EP represents my final breath of this year.
I've decided to take a break from solo production and focus on future duo projects. I've poured my heart and soul into this endeavor, and I hope you feel the emotions I've infused, just as I have."

This booty bouncin' EP is packed with 3 Rave certifeid Juke Anthems ready to make you move. As this is the first ever 160bpm+ Juke release from this duo, you can tell that they're not messing around one bit and are ready to step into the Left-felid genre. They display it perfectly with rule-breaking fresh new ideas pulled together totally from the perspective of a House Music producers take on Juke music. They developed a sound that was particularly made up of their own ingredients... a fusion of a raw house music influenced grooves brought up to a high speed Juke bpm, combined with jungle elements scattered throughout this EP, all finely cut with sharp clean production quality all the way through. Ingredients that we believe to have been crafted with originality separating this music from the 'Typical Sound' that we know today as we pay our dues to the original sound of Juke / Footwork / 160 / Ghettotech. The purposeful symbiosis of these elements deliver a result of a much more diverse audience, as we continue to push our unique sound.
