This long anticipated debut EP from Domino Effect Records head honcho's S. Jay & Ostertag has been months in the making and finally lands as DEFECT004. The EP introduces itself with a heavy original production 'Have You' focusing on the huge contrast of bass when it drops.. Beginning as they mean to go on, the following 3 productions feature a carefully selected choice of other Domino artists, including Filthy Rich, Kyle Watson & A. Lister.

'Smoking Mirrors' is another hard hitting garage lick with big reese basses and skanking rhythms, and these boys know how to provide just that, following that is a collaboration with South African bass pioneer Kyle Watson, 'Let Me Down' splits their 2 styles right down the middle as Kyle's touches become apparent as soon as the track hits full flow... The epic breakdown is ear-grabbing and full of energy.

Finally, the last track with A. Lister, provides a great way to close the EP off, 'No Question' is another housey production with trademark A. Lister drums and grooving percussive elements to keep the feet moving from start to finish. Enjoy this great release from Domino Effect Records, an imprint that is fast becoming one of the most exciting labels in the UK this year.

In 2008 we started our first digital release with Mladen Tomic's and Sinisa Tamamovic's EP. Six years after our label heads decided to deliver a new EP together. On n' Off EP opens with a track by Sinisa Tamamovic called 'Nights On'. Sinisa's fresh new techno groove and massive bass lead us into a dark loopy melody; putting all elements into a hypnotic break before the bass hits again. The second track called 'Lights Off' produced by Mladen Tomic goes more into a sub groove with a rising break, electronic effects, short sampled vocals which definitely make an atmosphere which defines Mladen's signature sound. The boys are back in town!

The latest offering from Rob Hes is a synth-heavy monster, as you have probably guessed from his track record so far. With the whole affair built around a feelgood riff which constantly evolves and mutates, the aptly-titled &#8220;The Kingmaker&#8221; also boasts tough sub-bass and a grinding rhythm section to match. Things are completely different on &#8220;So Sexy&#8221; where Rob treats us to a carefully unfolding, locomotive groove. Mangled vocals find their way effortlessly between the cavernous effects, while the persistent percussion provide the necessary momentum.

Kaiserdisco - 5th Element (Arjun Vagale & Ramiro Lopez Remix)

Chambray’s sophomore record is set to launch in mid-February via Jimmy Edgar’s Ultramajic outpost. Work That, the Berlin-based producer’s follow-up to the Rub EP, stays true to the label’s signature style of staccato functionality. Rigid beats, lightning claps, and catchy vocal blips abound throughout the four-track on the digital-only release, as do flashes of ghetto house’s dogged vocals and dusty hi-hats. Chambray strikes a balance between rigorous, inflexible workouts and jewel-bright melodic elements with dreamy synth breakdowns on the title track and a clipped piano part on "Anew.“
