Soleá (or Soleares) is called the "mother of flamenco" because it's rhythmic pattern is the source for so many Flamenco styles, including Alegrías and Bulerías. It is based on a twelve beat pattern built from the combination of one bar of 6/8 and and one bar of 3/4, but with the first beat silent. 
Recorded Aug. 1 - 2, 2012 on a Yamaha CG172SF in Spring Valley, CA.
