Jon FD (The Focussed Distraction) is a DJ, producer, musician and songwriter. 
For his live performances he's settled on placing himself in the unique position of a one man band with the aid of a looper, guitar and various other electronic effects modules. 
Drawing on eclectic influences like Matthew Dear, Caribou, LCD Soundsystem, Death In Vegas and Aphex Twin, helps him stand out as an utter phenomenon, creating a scenario of enchanting and unique sounds whilst looping melodic and rhythmic layers.

In the past his tracks have received airplay from Steve Lamacq (BBC Radio 2), Huw Stephens (BBC Radio 1), Tom Robinson (BBC Radio 6 Introducing), Simon Raymonde (Amazing Radio UK) and Gill Mills (Best of Myspace Podcast).

I am a free lance producer / engineer currently working out of the Twangs "Jump Studio".  All of the music on here I have produced and/or mixed.

With a range of influences coming from old time folk to the country classics to bluegrass and the blues, throw in some gospel and prepare for music to make you drink, dance, cry and praise the lord within the space of a few minutes. Born and bred in the middle of England he may be, Ryan evokes the sounds of the States through thoughtful songwriting of his own, storytelling with a soulful voice bringing every line to life.
