The original track comes from my esteemed colleague Markus Vogt (aka Klangbiotop), whom I only recently got to know through my professional activities. The track "Bar der verlorenen Seelen" of his "Nachtstücke-EP" inspired me immediately and so with his agreement this second remix track of his project Klangbiotop was created in a short time.
As a result, from a musical point of view, my track became something more than a remix, as the elements of the original tempted me to rework it. In the foreground was the initially incomplete harmony of the sub-bass, which I expanded to a complete harmony. Then came the basslines, the pads and the super-saw sound, which were then framed by a new melody. From the original song, percussion loops, snare and many of the vocal elements were placed in the arrangement. At the same time, the arrangement was shortened to further increase the appeal of the song by making it more compact.

Der Original-Track stammt von meinem geschätzten Kollegen Markus Vogt (aka Klangbiotop), den ich erst vor kurzem über meine berufliche Tätigkeit kennengelernt habe. Der Track „Bar der verlorenen Seelen“ seiner „Nachtstücke-EP“ hat mich sofort inspiriert und so entstand mit seinem Einverständnis in kurzer Zeit dieser zweite Remix-Track von seinem Projekt Klangbiotop.
Im Ergebnis ist aus musikalischer Sicht mein Track etwas mehr als ein Remix geworden, da die Elementes des Originals mich zu einem Rework verleitet haben. Vordergrund standen dabei die zunächst unvollständige Harmonie des Sub-Bass die ich zu eine vollständigen Harmonie erweitert habe. Anschließend kamen die Basslines, die Flächen und der Super-Saw Sound, die dann von einer neuen Melodie umrahmt wurden. Vom Original wurden Percussion-Loops, Snare und viele der Vocal Elemente im Arrangement platziert. Gleichzeitig wurde das Arrangement gekürzt, um durch mehr Kompaktheit die Attraktivität des Songs weiter zu erhöhen.

This track „My Ambience“ is a prototype of a progessive ambient style which could maybe be interesting for my collaboration project VORTEX ELEMENTS.
Will be more stuff like that to come in the future? Who knows but the future isn´t written so far, so stay tuned and wait for more music from me and my other projects with VORTEX ELEMENTS and my dear colleague Markus aka KLANGBIOTOP.

Celebrating five years of the experimental music label Chinabot, longtime collaborators and new acts join together for 5, Chinabot’s latest compilation release on cassette and digital.
The 12-track compilation features music from key artists who have defined Chinabot as a label, such as Jaeho Hwang, Sabiwa, Sarah Haras, Ayankoko, JPN Kasai and Pal Hwang Dan. The mix also looks to the future of the label with new artists Nanzhen Yang, Papaphilia, Chooc Ly and more.

Leaning into the label’s experimental tendencies, 5 journeys through fractured club tunes from Papaphilia, the experimental electronic project of queer Sri Lankan-Australian sound and visual artist Fjorn Bastos, hardcore rave from Jaeho Hwang, percussive broken beats and percussive broken beats and cinematic soundscapes from QwentyZ, and Beijing field recordings (described by the artist as “blurred memories”) from Nanzhen Yang.
It continues the hyper-eclectic vision which has become synonymous with the label, which seeks to take risks and promote the work of exciting emerging producers. The record features Ondo footwork from JPN Kasai, whorecently changed his artist name from Jap Kasai following the racist discrimination against a friend in Europe (“‘Jap’ is a derogatory term for Japanese people,” he says. “I used to dare to use it, but I have changed my mind. I don’t want to encourage discrimination against Japanese people.”) Like the compilation, his track, 早苗 唄 hayanae uta, is about the emergence of the new in this case, growth of rice shoots and the “happiness of harvest.”

Growth and experimentation remain key in the track from new Chinabot artist Papaphilia, who is due to release a full album next year. Inspired in part by the voracious learning of her newborn, ‘no path is forged over the abyss without meeting at the altar’ expresses the “leaps into the unknown that forging radical new meaning requires.”

The new compilation, with artwork by Saphy Vong, pays tribute to London’s experimental music scene, showcasing producers Chooc Ly, Yewen Jin and Nanzhen Yang who have performed at Chinabot’s events in the city over the years.

nowhere wood’s ethereal new single “snowing” was recorded in London earlier this year with ambient producer, Paul Cousins. Their approach was to reimagine the Pink Floyd song ‘Flaming’, having been inspired by its fantastical imagery and melodies. The impressionistic track uses celestial guitars and piano to capture the gentle calm of falling snow, finding a meditative space for the listener to reflect within its dreamlike world.

K.M.Ende and I share a deep respect for nature and a worry for how the urge to make as much profit with everything as possible rather than making more sustainable decisions affects our planet, climate, plants, all living beings, us. We got chatting about this topic which led to our collaboration. Green Harmonies Of Sensual Digressions

As  Christmas approaches, this feels like the right time to share this reworking of a traditional Sami Joik song (a form of chanted folk song from Lapland).
The vocalist is Inga Susanne Heatta, and the original unaccompanied chant was recorded in the early 1950's by Wolfgang Laade and Dieter Christensen . On hearing it for the first time I was struck by the beauty of the piece, which is described as "A welcome to the Lappish communities". I felt compelled to have a go at adding some accompaniment and hopefully it serves to enhance the soulful beauty of the original.
Like many indigenous populations, the Sami people have suffered hostility and discrimination from the wider communities of the countries where they live and we can only hope that appreciation and understanding will win out over prejudice in the long run.

For the second year I have congratulated Christmas to practically all the people I follow in SC.

They are distributed in many different parts of the world.

Some answer me and trust me with a problem.... who doesn't have them!!!, right??? There are those who live in a war, others suffer harassment or loneliness, others have problems with the economy, work, or have had deep disappointments.

These people deserve the greatest respect and my best affection.

I can't help you from here except with this advice that is part of my philosophy of life: have faith. Faith in your belief, faith in the capricious and changeable fate or in yourself. Faith is necessary because without it it becomes more impossible to overcome difficulties.

My best wishes to all of you.
