Schubert Transgression... Une cantatrice, un quatuor classique et un jazzman, réunis autour de Schubert. 
Assurément, les artistes de ce présent enregistrement ont souhaité prendre le risque d’ouvrir ce champ/contrechant des possibles, des ailleurs, des déroutants autrement. Certes avant eux des Platters ou autres Della Reese, par exemple, avaient transposé Schubert, dont la célèbre Sérénade. Mais on était, en l’occurrence, dans le domaine du pur jazz. On s’adressait à son public, relativement ciblé. 
Ici, entrainant – tout autant que les suivant – ses acolytes vers des horizons qui peuvent surprendre, Laurence Malherbe a délibérément envisagé pervertir les codes et les règles du récital classique tout en y demeurant en partie, pari audacieux. 
Enfin, n’est-ce pas rendre un vibrant et affectueux hommage à Schubert que d’évoquer à ce point les soirées enfumées entre amis où l’alcool coulait à flot et au cœur desquelles, les fameuses schubertiades dont il fut l’instigateur ? C’est bien ce qui caractérise cette insolite initiative, toute imprégnée d’esprit viennois, où libre de toute contrainte, on bouscule les formes musicales, on flirte avec l’improvisation, imprégné de cette dramaturgie de l’errance propre au compositeur.

Certainly, the present recording artists wished to risk opening this field / counterpoint of possibilities, from elsewhere, confusing otherwise. Certainly before them the Platters or other Della Reese, for example, had transposed Schubert, including the famous Serenade. But there was, in this case, in the field of pure jazz. We spoke to his audience, relatively targeted.
Here, leading - as much as following them - his acolytes towards horizons that can surprise, Laurence Malherbe deliberately intended to pervert the codes and rules of classical recital while remaining there, in part, daring.
Finally, do not you make a heartfelt and affectionate tribute to Schubert than talk at this point the smoke-filled evenings with friends where alcohol flowed freely and the heart which, the famous Schubertiades which he was the instigator? This is what characterizes this unusual initiative, all steeped in Viennese spirit, where free from coercion, it shakes up the musical forms, it flirts with improvisation, steeped in this drama of wandering own composer.
