Today, on this sunny autumn afternoon, we welcome Sacha Mambo to the series. He runs the Macadam Mambo Label out of Lyon with releases by Eva Geist, Abschaum, Eiger Drums Propaganda, Zmatsutsi, Jin Cromanyon, Houschyar, and himself under numerous aliases. As a DJ, he is one of those special DJs/selectors that manages to find the links between completely disparate styles of music and weave them together. He curates his long-standing show at Lyl Radio as well as Macadam Mambo shows on Kiosk Radio. Lock in for an extended selection that journeys through hypnotic and cosmic rhythms, mystical percussions, and pulsating electronics.

Guest Mix By Vladimir Ivkovic

Born and raised in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, Ivkovic is someone with a particularly unique talent for selecting records and weaving them into a larger – and often unusually compelling – narrative. Witnessing the peak of alternative culture and disintegration of the society in his formative years. Moved to Germany in the beginning of the 90’s, in the late 90’s early 00’s invited artists like Carlos Souffront, I-F. I-G, Marco Passarani, Serge (amongst others) to play Selected and Substance events.
He first dabbled in DJing as a teenager in the mid ’80s, but it was only after leaving Serbia (to study in Germany) and later coming back for a summertime visit that he truly immersed himself in the craft, taking up position behind the decks during a series of impromptu parties at a lakeside restaurant owned by his parents.
From there, he spent much of the next two decades honing his skills while throwing events like Selected and Substance that played host to a cross-section of boundary-pushing DJs, long before it was fashionable to do so. Eventually, Ivkovic found his musical and spiritual home at Salon des Amateurs, an unassuming spot in Düsseldorf that’s gradually proven to be wildly influential, giving rise in recent years to otherworldly talents like Lena Willikens, Tolouse Low Trax, Jan Schulte and many others, including Ivkovic himself.
Offen Music, a label he launched in 2015 specialized in authentic subjectivism. Although the imprint’s output is all but impossible to neatly categorize – experimental Serbian rarities sit alongside ambient excursions and moody synth-pop in the label’s catalogue – the label’s open-minded approach and embrace of off-kilter sounds perfectly encapsulates Ivkovic’s artistic temperament.

Since learning the ropes in Glasgow’s underground with early releases on Optimo Music and a residency at the famous Art School club, Thomas Lea Clarke aka https://soundcloud.com/mrtcmusic has spent the past 10 years delving into the recesses of experimental electronic club music with his own productions, playing live shows, doing some remixes, mixing and meeting a lot of people along the way. We first met in 2016 both spinning at a Blue Cheese party. These days he works at a radio station and tends to https://soundcloud.com/phasegroup, the label he started with Lo Kindre.

His hobbies are spending time on his own recording sounds, or to be with close ones, eating something good, having a drink and sharing a moment. He runs to keep fit and likes spending time in nature whenever he can. He's easily distracted, not sure if that’s a bad thing though - if he's good at working on multiple things at once, or bad at focusing on one thing at a time.

His mix meanders through some kind of dreamspace with ghostly appearances. He's in no hurry but quickly grabs you by the throat. 'Wherever you may go in life… just don't stop the dance'

Our next guest is Claudia. She’s based in Prague and runs the Deviant mix series ánd club night at Ankali, which we consider to be one of the best clubs Europe has to offer. 
Then there is Planeta Za, Ankali’s sibling, and home for Claudia’s residency. A place dedicated to the experimental cut that tries to have a different take on music and a more community-based approach.
Her mix is a representation of her impeccable taste, which takes us into a story that lights up, jerks in reality and feels balanced, alert and calming in a pleasant way. The route. Always there, but the flow is now very welcome.
