Rick Shiver is a source of perpetual movement. If you blink, he's already gone onto his next enterprise. Shaking the sonic sphere from its underground, he rides regularly the soundwaves in Kiosk and Lyl radio, drops some hidden gems in the YouTube realm and, first and foremost, runs the NOSE JOB brilliant mix series and equally shining label. 

With his contribution to our series, he opted for a dynamic and energising approach, in contrast with other of his mixes. Because there's been enough gloom already. Let the sun in so it can bring out all of the colours hiding in the autumn.

This week in sunny Amsterdam we welcome Rick Shiver to the series. The Brussels-based DJ runs the stellar NOSE JOB label and mix series that features artists like the Amsterdam-based Pyruvic Acid (aka My Name Is Not Mata), Victor de Roo, Luke Cohlen, Chlorys, and others. He is regularly on Lyl Radio and Kiosk Radio, most recently with the mighty Low Bat for a sick session in Brussels Park. He is a tireless collector and elegantly weaves his broad collection of unusual gems into a brilliant tapestry of sound. Lock in for an hour from the Belgian powerhouse.

This week we welcome the talented Maria Pravda to the series. Earning her stripes in the Olomouc Metro club in the Czech city of the same name, her story continues in Prague where she is a breath of fresh air to the scene which earned her residencies at local clubs like Ankali and Planet Za. She recently became part of the international exchange program Gravity between residents of Jasna1 club in Warsaw, Revier Südost in Berlin and Ankali in Prague. She has mixed it up in Amsterdam's Garage Noord and newly launched Rotterdam-based club Bit, as well as earning a slot in the Panorama Bar in Berlin. Lock in for an hour of dubby and organic downtempo electronics.

P.o.K. loves to create rich and textured atmospheres with precise drum grooves. Layer upon layer, organic compositions materialize into music that both stays fresh and original whilst maintaining an old-school vibe.

The Parisian born but Seoul based influences and approach to music allowed him to record tracks that take you on a trip, tickle your brain, and keep your body running simultaneously.

Philipp Otterbach was one of the first resident at Salon des Amateurs, before moving to Berlin. Since 2014 he released music on labels like Grokenberger, Knekelhuis, Themes For Great Cities, brokntoys, and remixed quite a few peeps. In 2020 he dropped his debut album 'Everything Else Matters' on R.i.O. Nowadays he divides his time between being a creative director for Ui / UX Design and producing music, and still enjoys to travel around with old records to play in front of a young crowd.

It's really no secret how much we've followed, admired and pushed all things Anatolian Weapons in recent years. First making a name for himself under the guises Fantastikoi Hxoi and Dream Weapons, the Athens-based producer, real name Aggelos Baltas, has carved out his own musical signature in the underground electronic world.

Fusing his love of EBM, krautrock and polyrhythmic music with traces of traditional Greek folk melodies, he's gained a loyal following through an ever-growing catalogue of raw, machine-led compositions.

You'll rarely find him taking his foot off the gas. He's racked up tons of EPs and a couple of LPs for labels like Lurid Music, Beats In Space and Byrd Out, and that's not to mention his lengthy run of self-released Spiritual Music edit compilations - another testament to his perpetual work rate. 

Earlier this year he also helped us kickstart our new sub-label, Human Endeavour, with a track contribution 'The Moon and The Sun', and there's plenty more in store from Aggelos. He's just helped to inaugurate People & Places new label arm and has released a charity remix project with Lurid, plus he's got a brand spanking new EP coming out via Sound Metaphors soon.

We're very lucky to have him treat us to a special four hour marathon mix that features music from friends and contemporaries. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do...
