The swearling mass of light that was diffusing through the mirrors gave place to a  holographic mountain, a cliff of inconceivable height, a colossal birdclaw carved in  stone and projecting over the abyss, an endless unfurling of gleam. This is what they  were seeing. Then it started spreading itself into countless shapes, almost as if it  was alive, as if it had a mind of it's own. This recording is what was echoing all over  the deserted place while they were having this vision. It felt like it was coming from a  strange white box.

"One foot on the dance floor, one foot in a trash can" - this is the capacious and innerly resonating motto of one of my favorite labels! I would describe Delodio as a rare earth flea market! Odd sounds, chewed-up dub tapes, forgotten geniuses-outsiders of the past, and invisible musical talents of the present, cassettes saved from degaussing under the careful curation by Stéphane Bodin (Fa_Fane) and François Marché (F.M.). Besides exquisite archeological activities, the duo masterfully reconsidered Jamaican legacy in the otherworldly project - Froid Dub. It is with great pleasure I usually play their solid track Iguana Dub, which brings sophistication to the dance-oriented storytelling. I am incredibly happy to host such important and influential for me selectors on my show!

A label that focuses mainly on trying to bring to reality adventurous, evocative, and spaced out records and tapes. He spends time as a music maker in his studio in Amsterdam-Oost. Every so often you can catch him playing records in second rooms, bars, and independent web radios. Each second last Thursday of the month you can spot him co-hosting a radio show on the airwaves of Dublab.de.

Thanks to Xavier from DDD Records in Paris we have what may be one of the only interviews ever conducted with cult engineer and producer from the infamous Head Studios in Chicago L.I.A.M.

Alongside with his partner Marcus Mixx they produced what are now some of the most sought after records in the history of Chicago House music on labels like Missing Dog, Saber, Get Wet and Sweat, Under Dog, Percision, and Streetfire among others.

We now find L.I.A.M. living here in Paris, Xavier tracked him down to tell his story...so sit back relax and check out two hours of amazing stories about MIDI, programming beats and PARTYING in the studio.

I met L.I.A.M. in 2012 thanks to a Marcus Mixx post stating that he was living in Paris. We had a drink together and he told me his story about his journey in the world of House music. Later I invited him to La Source Record shop to conduct an official interview with hopes of eventually sharing it with the public in some form. 
Alot of time went by since the initial interview and I felt a transription to paper would really miss the sound and energy of L.I.A.M.'s unique voice. 
Thus, we finally set up this interview on Rinse France with myself, L.I.A.M. and Chicago House obsessive, Jean Nipon there in support to further help conduct the interview. 

We thank L.I.A.M. greatly for sharing his story, granting us this interview and painting a picture of a magical time in the history of Chicago House music.
