INIT - Music for Dinners Mix

The origins of Front de Cadeaux can be traced back to a dating site for bears, some ten years ago. After Maurizio had spotted a Felix Kubin poster on one of Ugo’s pictures, the two started chatting. Very much intrigued, Ugo invited Maurizio, who lives in Brussels, to play at a festival he organised in Rome. Shortly thereafter Maurizio became a resident of Ugo’s Subwoofer night, one of the first bear parties in Europa that existed outside of the mainstream bear realm. The two bonded over food of course, over their belief that dance culture is rotting from the inside, and even more over slow, heavy electronic music. You have to picture it: a flat in Brussels, a table with empty bowls and bottles, thick smoke and these two daddy dj’s listening to stacks and stacks of UK rave and breakbeat records on 33 instead of 45 rpm. Testing how deep and sexy these garbage records sound at a pace the bears can actually follow without dropping dead – Ugo & Maurizio baptised it ‘supreme rallentato’. Photo by Caroline Lessire.

Paulius Austrevičius aka CLICKLOUNGE is best known for his involvement in the reputable Opium Club in VIlnius, Lithuania, where he is regularly found both behind the decks and in the background working as a booking assistant & helping to curate club's program, bringing some of the most exciting and interesting DJs and artists over to play in the space. It's here that he also holds a residency and runs his own club night called Juoduomenė, alongside his trusted fellows.

His carefully researched selections go in tandem with unique cuts, oddities & always mussing amongst various musical compositions & it’s subjections. A gourmet combination of versatile & thermal music.

» This sonic landscape is a musical odyssey into a distant realm and its hidden memories — a tribute to nature's relentless brutality as well as its beauty, to an everlasting cycle of of extreme conditions that shape an unforgiving landscape. Imagine gnarled, sun-bleached trees shrouded in mist while countless creatures crawl beneath their twisted roots, and with every overturned leaf, a new microcosm emerges, revealing the intricate beauty amidst the savagery.
