Hybrid Moment is a series of parties and community in Kyiv inspired by dark shades of music, slow and heavy beats. The main genres we promote are dark disco, EBM, the dark side of indie dance and italo, new beat, but of course we don't limit ourselves to these genres. To celebrate our first anniversary, we have made the decision to launch a charity compilation that brings together artists from Ukraine and around the world. The primary goal of this compilation is to support musicians who have transitioned from their musical pursuits to join the army and serve as defenders of our country. This initiative is in collaboration with the charitable fund Musicians Defend Ukraine. Here is a roster of the artists involved: A-Tweed, Igor Dieiev ID_UA, dj_2button & Ludviq, Lvcerate, E-bony, Symonenko, Katia Stieber, Hungry Boys, Raido, Vestibular Glow, Motoblok, Clasps, Batacat.

Katia Stieber is one of the two founders of Hybrid Moment and the selector of the Mutation Onset compilation. She is a producer who experiments with musical genres, creating eclectic tracks based on classic arpeggiator basslines. Her style combines tiny elements of electro-clash and post-punk motives, which gives her compositions a special sound. Katya explores the boundaries of genres, combining different eras and moods to create a new, fresh sound that resonates with a modern audience.

Auto-da-fé is my second track, which was born after I decided to work on the compilation. The inspiration was the book Ukrainian Demonology, and I chose a title that refers to the infamous period of the Inquisition, when people were burned at the stake in public. This historical motif resonates with the realities of modern society, but now in the virtual space. This track is about aggression, accumulated fatigue, and suppressed desires that people usually keep inside. It tells about the phenomenon of collective rage, when one person shouts “Burn!” and millions pick up on it, destroying the fates of those trapped in circumstances or situations. This is a story about a modern witch hunt that takes place in the form of virtual campaigns and public condemnation, where lives are destroyed and dreams are shattered.

UK based record label Comma Traxx unveils a new digital only side project ‘Border Recordings’. Exploring the sounds that are moving through out the underground, one country at a time. First up on the imprint, the label is staying close to home with Unito, a compilation of various artists based in the United Kingdom.  Thirteen mixed musical background producers that have come together to tell a story; aiming to push the genres we often hear on the dance floor and expand them into new territories allowing for a release that aims to open up new possibilities for the styles of music we are now so familiar with.
One thing’s for certain, with this level of talent on board, there’s something here for everyone.

Panthera Krause's latest and divinely titled album "It's a Business Doing Pleasure With You" is now a year old, but nonetheless still blissfully resonating. It is Mr. Krause's most accomplished and versatile work yet. So versatile actually, you'd have to be hella versatile yourself to remix that material. But the Riotvan headquarter still managed to gather a bunch of people with good prospects to live up to the job. And so they did. 
Find here an utmost pleasure providing remix package courtesy of: Rebolledo directing the arpeggio bliss of "Road To Arcadia" into even more club apt territories. Theo Kottis turning everybody's favorite "Birthday Club" into a more detailed and pad-saturated affair. Shubostar speeding up the rather downbeat Franko-Funk of "J'ai Envie De Toi" to a bassline-driven groove monster. Fango taking in all the atmospheric quirkiness of "Redo Rdid" and processing it into an odd, yet charming floor-heater. And finally Peter Invasion & Gregor Habicht finding a deeper and more bass dominated interpretation of "Sledge Hammer".

It starts off with Robi Insinna’s version of Your Way by The Lunacy Of Flowers. The Lunacy Of Flowers is a one man post-industrial act from London with a huge body of unreleased material made from fake hallucinations mixed in Black and White.
He used an MS-20, Juno 106, Micro Korg, Epiphone Les Paul Junior, borrowed bass Guitar, SM58 microphone, All Drums Sequenced on FL4 and mixed on a home computer. Robi Insinna added and reworked the original version. The Dub version was done in a real style dub session using an analog mixer and external reverbs, effects and tape delays.
