The story of Auren and Electric Shapes began, fittingly, on the dancefloor. A spontaneous conversation about music quickly uncovered a strong creative chemistry — and a lot of shared ground. That meeting marked the start of a lasting collaboration.

Auren is more than just a producer — he also takes care of mastering, and most of the releases on the label have been finalized by his expert ear. His attention to detail and deep understanding of the label’s style have played a key role in shaping its sound.

As an artist, Auren made a powerful statement with his dancefloor-ready EP "Electrically Shaped", a release that captures the energy and spirit of both him and the label. He was featured on Unreleased Territory Vol. 2 and now returns to the series for its sixth edition.

Based in Vilnius like the label itself, Auren is known not only for his skill but also for his enthusiasm and willingness to help whenever needed. A true friend and collaborator, his presence continues to be a vital part of the Electric Shapes story.

Toronto, Canada-based acid techno head 747 is back with his first studio album since 2019 and his third on Emily Nicoll’s Aquaregia label. This one taps into his roots in the Pacific Northwest with a retro-future collision of jungle breaks, 90s trance and acid across nine cuts that range from atmospheric acid techno to more introspective, breaks-driven sounds, but always with great pad work and rolling basslines making for bursts of chaotic energy. The title cut immediately locks you in with thrilling drum programming and pensive 303s, then cuts like 'Second Narrows' get more frantic and mind-melting and 'Camosun Bog' pairs plunging bass with more meticulous drums.

Berlin-based artist Marie Tjong Ayong delivers a captivating four-tracker with her „motherland“ EP, which unfolds like a sonic ritual — earthy, dubby, and steeped in natural rhythm.

Navigating fluidly between dub techno, grey area, downtempo, and breakbeat, the EP carves out its own genre-blurring identity. The sound is rooted in a warm, organic atmosphere, driven by percussive detail and an unmistakably natural flow. You can sense Marie’s background as a trained jazz trumpeter in the subtle musical intelligence that underlies each movement.

From the driving, rhythm-heavy opener „freshelle“ to the introspective, bass-laden „tiger balm“, the EP continuously shifts form and energy. „desert of boredom“ maintains the dub-soaked aesthetic while injecting a more forceful groove, before "rodeo of the bugs“ rounds things off with deep, muted dub techno and refined percussive finesse.

An excursion into the lesser-known territories of the Asian musical landscape, 'Ragom (Various Artists)' is the latest release from Bangkok’s enigmatic @siamesetwinsrecords. Ahead of its release, the premiere spotlight falls on Kiss Nuka’s 'Taabiir', a word that translates to “deeper interpretation (of dreams)” in Urdu. 

True to its name, the track channels Kiss Nuka's mystical insight and raw emotion through a hypnotic variation of vocal percussion, reminiscent of konakkol, the rhythmic vocal tradition of Carnatic music. Fractured beats move in procession while ghostly tones dance around them, never fully landing. Kiss Nuka constructs a sonic ecology where boundaries dissolve between inner and outer, past and present. Taabiir doesn’t demand attention; it quietly draws you in.
