The Wind Is Cold (September 2012 mix)

I am a songwriter from Portland, OR . . . I began with the guitar at age 13 . . . I later studied art and architecture . . . It was while working as an architectural designer in the late 1990's that I helped found the influential Americana band 'Bunco Kelly' . . . Lately, I have been working at home on solo projects . . . Most of these projects involve writing short themes and songs . . .

Electrified Rails was created in 2010 and consists of 2 musicians, Reuben (English) and Dom (French), with guest musicians on certain songs. Dom primarily plays the guitars, electric and acoustic and Reuben primarily plays the bass (Warwick Corvette Standard 4 string). Vocals, keyboards and drum programming are created by both of us.

We used to say that our music is free rock, which means our music is not necessarily fixed to one particular style.

All songs have been performed and recorded at Studio Dom. Drums created by loops and drum machine programming with keyboards too. Recording, editing, mixing and productions using software, vintage mixing desk and rack effects too .

Our performances are based on one shot performances most of the time in order to maintain the feel and emotion of the songs.  All the music and lyrics are written solely by us.

We do everything in fact... but we would also welcome other musicians to join the Electrified Rails experience. Notably, a lead singer, drummer, keyboard player and a producer.

Love music and love life. Music can bring peace to the world of disconnected humans ravaging one another over stupid ideals and beliefs of hate.
