Houstones is a 4-piece alternative rock band. Varying from rough and edgy to soft and melancholic, our sound can be described when desert rock meets power ballad.
For fans of Melvins, Flaming Lips, Motorpsycho, Queens of the stone age etc.
The band was founded by vocalist and guitarist Saul Savarino, who has been the only constant member throughout multiple line-up changes. The current line-up consists of Savarino alongside his friends Joel Pfister (Drums, percussion), Maurizio Cuomo(bass guitar) and Serena Maggini (Keys and vocals).
Formed after the dissolution of Savarino’s previous band Macnamara, Houstones developed a style of riff-oriented, heavy rock music. Their sound has since evolved to incorporate a variety of different styles and influences.
The band has five singles and two albums, released in 2016 by Old Bicycle Records and DreaminGorilla Records. In February 2019, thanks to the collaboration with Marco Bonanomi (Ministri, Jezoo, The Sidh, Firewater) in the role of co-producer, the second album will be released by DreaminGorilla Records, Entes Anomicos and Soppressa Records. 

Now working at the third album with the producer Marco Fasolo of Jennifer Gentle.
