The great singer, activist and soul sister Sandra Izsadore is back in the mix. She graced the international music stage on 1976's 'Upside Down' and has worked with  legendary artists Fela, Osibisa, Ginger Baker and many more. She influenced Fela to write about and focus on cultural matters of Africa, the Afro-Diaspora and human rights. She helped Fela conceive of Afro-Beat in 1969 in Los Angeles. Pleasuremaker wrote this song channeling Fela Kuti, Sandra and the history that tied this moment together as we face the most blatant disregard for human lives, human rights and for the struggle all people of color and poor and working class folks face all around the world each day. A new day is dawning, we must recognize where we have been and where we are at to ever truly make a brighter world.
This track highlights what is happening on earth right now in 2015 and has been an ongoing struggle for justice world wide.

The sweet sixteenth instalment in the Dubplate series sees regular contributors Beatsy Collins and Bopperson deliver two firing, dance floor friendly re-works of a couple of classics from the great man that is Bobby McFerrin. 

Beatsy Collins' re-work of Thinking About Your Body has been knocking around on mp3 for some time now, and has been a mainstay of sets from a small selection of London's finest underground DJs. It's a low slung affair, complete with a frenzy of filters and beats to move your feet. 

On the flip, McFerrin's cover of the Lennon & McCartney favourite, From Me To You, is completely re-imagined by young Bopperson, giving it a foot friendly percussive shakedown, whilst adding some serious, face melting bass.

Both of the musicians have been active in the European blues/roots scene for more then 30 years and in this new project they like to mix that experience with current technologies and other musical styles. The musical input from this new duo ranges from Alan Lomax to Roxy Music and from Charlie Parker to Led Zeppelin. On stage you will find computers, a double bass, foot pedals, vintage amps, guitars, midi controllers, an old drumkit and lots of cables. All of this handled by the two band members.
