The Los Angeles-based Nuklear Prophet has been DJing since 1992 and has participated in many DJ battles and won a few titles including: 1998 Powertools Mix show champ; 1999-2001 World Records Champ; 2006 Sam Ash Champ; 2013 Astro Across the Fader Dj Contest Champ; 2016 Red Bull Threestyle Finalist. He has been heavily into breakbeat techno, gabber and electro for many years. 

He's preparing to release an album titled 'Nuklear Prophet - Prophecies 11:21,' which will be on @utraxqdm from Utrecht, Holland. The album will feature more than fifteen Nuklear Prophet tracks, two of which are in this mix, "Nuklear Prophet" and "808 Plague." The LP should be dropping in late October and will be on vinyl, cassette and cd formats. 

Currently, Nuklear Prophet is concentrating on production but open to bookings!

Hello everyone ! We are back from summer holidays with a special guest mix by Robert Heise aka The Exaltics ! For over 20 years by now Robert is a part of the electronic music scene. He founded the project The Exaltics in 2006 as well as the electro/ techno label SolarOneMusic with his long term friend Nico Jagiella. Since then he published countless 12"s and several LP's with labels like Clone, Crème Organization, Bunker or his own label Solar One Music and worked during that time with outstanding artists like Drexciya´s Gerald Donald, Helena Hauff or ERP for example. He turned his deep cinematic and most of all charismatic electro into his own trademark. Another signature are his special dark driven Acid Techno. During his intense live performances Robert present his unique version of electro and acid music. So, we are very pleased and happy to share The Exaltics guest mix. Enjoy !

Electro Boogie (guest mix by AUX 88, Puzzlebox/USA)

There’s something about electro that attracts artists who are happy operating outside of the limelight. For every Egyptian Loving theatrical performer there are legions of shadowy 808-coveting, MPC-baiting heads that remain betrothed to the underground, and in many cases they seem to actively avoid over-exposure. Take Dez Williams, one of Britain’s leading lights in the field of dark, dungeon-ready electro. The most famous exponents of such sounds hail from Detroit and The Hague, but here’s a man who has been flying the flag for crisp, sinister machine funk from the UK, where deviant electronic music has always found a natural home.

Williams first came to light through fabled platforms such as SCSI-AV and Ai, where experimental electronica and classically-informed electro would often co-exist in the same far flung corners away from the early 2000s booms of minimal, breaks and progressive house. Since then, there have been some notable turns on labels such as legendary Viennese institution Cheap, while in 2010 Williams launched his own Elektronik Religion imprint solely as a vehicle for his own productions.

In recent times the recognition has been coming in from labels more visibly tuned in to the cut and thrust of contemporary electronics, with releases on Bedouin, Shipwrec and New Flesh all pointing to the fact that perhaps there is indeed a wider audience for uncompromising, proudly underground electro these days. Not that such interest has changed Williams’ own approach, as you will hear in this roaring romp of a podcast he has put together for us. Read out interview with Dez Williams here:

A Los Angeles resident by way of Moscow, Ed Vertov is co-owner of @stellaremnant, a record label, online record shop and soon to be physical record shop in downtown LA. Until now, you may have seen their pop-up at events like Acid Camp and Crate Diggers. While Stellar Remnant focuses on techno, ambient and experimental music, they distribute and sell records across the electronic music spectrum and have a delightful selection of electro! Ed is also co-founder of @pro-tez Records, the first Russian/American exclusive @kompakt label. 

Ed and his wife @lena_deen are two of the DJs who I admire and respect most in the local dance music community of LA and beyond. They’re also two of the best DJs and I’ve considered them role models ever since I started DJing. Particularly when it comes to playing vinyl, they’ve been especially inspiring and have encouraged me to keep it up. Together we’ve shared the bill with Cio D’Or, Rrose, Function, Edit Select and Martyn. I’m so proud of Ed and Lena’s success with Stellar Remnant and I can’t wait for their new shop to open! It’s a massive treat to share an electro mix by Ed because I know this may not be the sound that people are used to hearing from him. However, Ed’s flawless musical taste and mastery of the turntables shines through!

Jesse Jacob started his producing journey in the Techno genre, but quickly switched over to House as he felt a much more deeper connection with it. After a year of solid releases he started his project Airtime Records. What started as an simple idea combined with a passion for music quickly turned into something he got fully commited to and he was determined to make it a success.
Although this was not a year for in the books, Jesse has been releasing a lot of tracks on labels like Blind Vision, Elrow and Rendr. Now to close this one of, it’s his time to put his mark on the label.
