Where darknes and haze are ubiquitous, clowns have no intentions of making you laugh and performing artists uses their unique skills to scare the hell out of you. Have we mentioned about the freak display? So it's there also. The cotton candy is a sickly shade of green and the knife thrower doesn't miss. Some say that the most common experiences for people visiting are pain, fear and that premonition of someone always present behind their back. And only some can recount this as not everyone is lucky enough to leave the circus. Most of the people just stay there forever and becomes part of it. Will you join them? C'mon, it'll be fun! In 2018, Chillhop Music unveiled Daydreams, a highly successful 18 song instrumental compilation. The project has seen over 200 million streams and remains one of the most well-known releases in the Chillhop catalog–a lofi classic. 

One year later, we released Daydreams 2, the 24 song compilation taking listeners back into a soothing yet faraway land of drifting away. With another 100+ million streams, it was obvious from the start that this series resonated with listeners. Perfect for its immersive style and cozy lofi beats, these two releases were instantly timeless, one our followers often reference and ask about.

Now, six years later, we are back with heavy doses of nostalgia for Daydreams 3, a 22 track project featuring some of the most acclaimed names in the instrumental beats space. Producers like SwuM, Oatmello, Idealism, Philanthrope, Ian Ewing, Arbour, Aso, Kupla, HM Surf and so many others. Even Sugi.wa, whose well known track "Almost Home" begins the first compilation, is back for more on this new release.

For the fourth and final single before the compilation drops on July 24, legendary musician and beatmaker Kupla brings the calming vibes with instrumental "Filaments". It's immersive and touching, tender and soothing. A perfect track to spin when in need of either a nightcap or a wake up call. The fluttering pianos will keep you coming back for more.

It's been eight years since producer Devaloop has appeared on a Chillhop Music release. Devaloop was instrumental (pun intended) in our Essentials 2017 compilations, appearing on both Spring and Fall of that year. Those two tracks alone have amassed nearly 10 million streams across DSPs. Now, helping us to continue our new single series, Devaloop is back with the instrumental "Familiar Winds", a chill lofi beat featuring immersive chords and a soothing drum kick. The bass line keeps the listener up in the clouds while the synths enhance the cinematic listening experience. With over a dozen albums under his belt, Devaloop is finally back with Chillhop Music and we couldn't be more thrilled. It's been long overdue.

Familiar Winds

Pressing play on a Kreatev track almost always demands you get in a fast car and go for a drive. Cruising music at its finest. The newest single from the Atlanta-based hip-hop producer is no different. "Black M5" pays homage to the famous BMW sports car and feels like having an open highway without a speed limit. The sun has set and the world is quiet. The only noise being made is the car's engine alongside hard-hitting drums, smooth synths, and a hypnotizing bass line. Kreatev is steadily building up his portfolio of classic cruising instrumentals and this one (his nineteenth with Chillhop Music) fits perfectly within that consistent collection. Don't sleep.

Black M5

Kickstarting the fall vibes for our upcoming Essentials release is "Fairy Tales" by DESH and delaney. Their collaborative track is the culmination of working together for nearly ten years. "We noticed our sound didn’t really fit into the usual sleepy lofi vibe," says DESH, "even though it had a bit of that flavor. Instead, it naturally leaned more toward jazz and boom bap. Still mellow, but with a bit more rhythm and soul." The laid-back instrumental is lush and dreamy with hard-hitting drums and a memorable synth solo. "To us, the song feels like the beginning of a fairytale," continues DESH. "Light, floating, beautiful. It’s got that dreamy quality, but it’s still grounded in the sound we’ve been building together for years. It feels like a new direction, but also a continuation of everything we’ve always been about.” This one's perfect for the welcoming of a new season, as the heat begins to fade and the cool breeze takes over. 

“Fairy Tales” is the first single off of Essentials Fall 2025, with the second single out on August 28, and the full compilation dropping on September 4.

Fall is the perfect time to slow down, reminisce, reflect, and get inspired by the world as it transitions around us.

The third Essentials of 2025 also features Chillhop favorites like Sleepy Fish, Ian Ewing, C Y G N, G Mills, and many more. These 68 minutes of hand-picked and carefully-curated instrumental gems are everything you need to settle into a brand new season.

As for our Raccoon—last we saw, they were enjoying summer with Mango the Toucan on a floating island. Now, as the leaves fall, with Mango still around, the island has turned into a garden, complete with carrots and Jazz the Bunny. Together, the three partake in deep conversations, cultivating, and connecting with nature. The colors are shifting, the vibes are mellowing, and a new chapter in the Chillhop world begins. Stay tuned to see where this journey takes us next season.

Continuing with the autumnal feels as we approach the release of Essentials Fall 2025 is the instrumental track "Sometimes It's Hard to Say" between G Mills and Molly McPhaul. This energized collaboration has fitting artwork that takes us up in clouds, where daydreams and nostalgic reflections are all the more common. "Molly is the loop queen," says G Mills, "and sent me the initial guitar layers. I then played piano and bass and after some back and forth, Molly added the vocals, which I think really tied the whole thing together." The lively track is vibrant and energized, one fitting for both outdoors and indoors, socializing with friends or studying away. "The songs I’ve made with G Mills," says Molly, "have always felt less like compositions and more like discoveries. The music feels familiar, as if it had always existed somewhere in the cosmos, waiting to be translated through production and collaboration.” This track perfectly prepares us for a new season, for the arrival of Fall, as leaves change and leave the trees to meet the ground. As the nights grow longer and the heat fades away.

"Some truths live in silence," adds Molly, referring to the song title, "and when what we feel is too complex or raw to put into words, that’s when we create art."

Equal parts jazz cafe and sci-fi journey, smoked-out lounge and space station, this deep space voyage is guaranteed to bring some zero gravity chill. Trumpets and saxes dance through a haze of synths as distant planets come into view. If the Mos Eisley Cantina in Star Wars was more inspired by laid-back beats, or if the Blade Runner 2049 soundtrack had more brass.

With familiar Chillhop names like The BREED, Birocratic, Psalm Trees, No Spirit, Ian Ewing, Aviino, and dozens of others, this compilation is packed with a beautiful kind of solitude, one that makes the world feel small and precious. Like an astronaut seeing our planet out of their window for the first time or someone on Earth in need of sitting still for a moment to relax and unwind. 

Press play as you moon cruise, as you apartment search on Mars, taking a smooth detour to avoid an asteroid storm. Sit back and maintain your chill, because after all, this is the coolest part of the galaxy.

Tesk comes correct with loose single "The Sauce". An instrumental hip-hop track complete with boom bap elements, this one sounds like golden era hip-hop blasting out of vintage speakers. Old school influence yet refreshing and new. The drums knock with confidence while the syrupy synths ooze levels of cool. It’s the kind of jazzy track that loops effortlessly, pulling you in with each new spin. Part of our ongoing single series, this beat couldn't have a more fitting title. Pressing play makes it evident that Tesk does, indeed, have the sauce.

This single is the ninth release in our 2025 single series with many more to come. 

The Sauce

The new 'Alliances' project will see Slam co-producing with friends and peers from around the globe, beginning with Gary Beck, Pan-Pot & Italo Boyz. Other confirmed artists include Joris Voorn, Laurent Garnier, Paul Ritch, Len Faki & Mihalis Safras.

PARA014 sees Slam embark on their first 'Alliances' project with fellow Glaswegian, Gary Beck. As two linchpins of techno – the product has a lot to live up to. The result of this collaboration is a controlled blend of drive and groove primed to work the dancefloor.

The opening track on the EP, and the series, is the uncompromising 'Verto'. Ravey synth-lines and snares rolls flow in liquid swells of suspense and tension as the track pushes forward in its stripped and organic form.

The AA-side, 'South' oozes groove and restraint, albeit at a slightly slower pace. The 'South' bassline retains the drive, and is steady and rolling, flowing back and forth throughout the duration. Hovering synths and a spine-chilling vocal are utilised at the breaks allowing the track motion and lucidity.

This first in 'Alliances' series sets the bar high, with a no-nonsense approach to the dancefloor.
